Offroad, even without the KRWALL control the locking diff will give you piece of mind and plus probably better resale value. Springs can change and they are generally cheaper than a aftermarket diff.

Yeah, the chrome bumper bothers me but im not about to spend $3000 for the whole tech and premium package. Since JBL speakers are not put in manuals, i decided not to get the packages. Either way, i can just paint the chrome bumper.

 

That was my point though, if you get a sport, you don't have to get the tech or premium packages to get a color match bumper.

 

There are a few things in tech package that are invaluable....blindspot monitorring, rear cross tradfic, and rear sensors

 

All of those are coming standard in all new 2018 Tacomas without spending more. That's a standard feature in most Toyotas starting in the 2018 model year.

 

TSS doesn’t include those options unless I’m wrong.

You have to get the Technology Package on the 18 to get those.

 

Sorry... you're right. I thought those were the things he was referring to. But yeah, that makes sense now. Still not sure what "rear cross traffic" is, but the other two, now I see what he's meaning.

I just assumed TSS included those things.

 

Rear cross traffic is when a car passes by while you are reversing. I have that but not the rear parking sensors. Little wonder why there. Its automatic and has no button like the rear parking sensor

 

But what does it do?

 

Get whatever you get the best deal on. I think Sport looks WAY better than the OR. Black fender flares look like they belong on the SR Utility Package.

 

It just beeps if someone is crossing behind you whem leaving a parking spot

 

Make sure you get this option

 

That’s kinda how I feel too. I owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee and in that world, all the higher end models had color matched everything while the lower end models had the black plastic stuff. I personally feel the black fender flares look cheap. But again, this is all personal preference. That’s my cup of tea but others may like different tea than me!

 

I thought that at first about black fender flares, but now they sorta grown on me. Sorta gives it the rugged look. Just do the research, alot of i shouldve, wouldve on specific features after the fact
