I had a shop do mine. Cut it after the last hanger and welded on a turn down tip.

Really cleans up the look of the truck!

 

Thanks. Im not concerned too much about things hanging wider than the body. I still have both my mirrors and the tracks and rotopax are inside the width of those.

I strap mine on top. Looks ok.
Of course, I could hit low overhanging tress and scrape them, or even damage them. Guess the only real way to protect them is to throw them in the bed. Or not have them to begin with.

 

Might as we'll git rid of'um. They only covered half the damn tire! Holy smokes, how much of a lift is that? Looks clean. Love the color!

 

But seriously, a cab deployed halon system would be kinda cool.

So, you didn't paint it yourself? I want a color matched grill, but thought about painting it myself. Yours looks awesome. Where'd ya get it?

 

I didn't even realize some of them weren't color matched. The X's is from the factory, definitely prefer it to the chrome.

 

camelback toyota parts sells the entire 2012+ color-matched grille assembly for somewhere around $192.

No, there's no sound deadening qualities of the factory bend and tip, so removing them should make no difference in sound.
