I've never been too impressed with Rush. It's decent and somewhere new but i've had a SxS throughout their park. Windrock is actually a really good park, just the people that run it are . . . . . well i'll just keep that part to myself.

What I liked about Rush was the fact we were able to cover quite a bit of distance in a day. That may have been a by-product of the group we had that day... On our 1st visit to Black Mountain we covered a lot of miles. Makes it seem like a more rewarding trip IMHO.

We covered a bit of ground at Harlan on some random trails. It was just me @presta24 and another truck or 2 though, after we left everyone else.

I'm pretty so-so about covering alot of ground on trips, especially at an offroad park. If you see everything there is to see then there's no reason to go back again. Plus I'd really rather go slow on some more technical stuff that will help me build a skillset than fly through stuff that's not challenging at all. But that's just me.

Especially in our neck of the woods where every trail system looks about the same as every other trail system, and theres not really 'sightseeing' to be done, it really turns into just driving around and I can't help but wonder what's even the point.

If there's actually cool shit to look at I'm fine with easier trails and just cruising along- this was the case on trails I went on in the Rockies.

I have a map from my first visit there that I keep updated by highlighting any new trails. I'm up to just about every green trail, about 2/4 of the blue, and about 1/3rd of the red. I had a map with me this past year with a long route that stayed on blue and red mostly. It was supposed to be a small group of regulars who could do tougher trails without problems. When we lined up Saturday morning there were more stock trucks in line than built rigs. And that non stop rain....

I loved the fact we had around 50 trucks, but I'd just as soon go out with a half dozen or so and be able to make time...on tougher, more technical trails...I want it ALL!

@mwc273 You going to be around this weekend? Thinking about maybe heading up to put my front shocks on with @presta24. Figured if you were bored and wanted to tinker some if I decided to head up that way.

would we be changing them in a garage or outside. Trying to look at the weather to determine if there's a chance I head up.

Looks like we're going to have to try the Cave Fork Rd. Looks like it was just the opposite side of Hwy 11 then what we did last year on the DBB.

It's up to everyone else. I don't mind at all, but I just don't want some people that are driving down hours away from Pennsylvania, Missouri, etc. to hit mostly pavement if they would rather get it some good wheeling.

So who's up for a bit of exploration in early May? Maybe a one day trip (saturday) to check out a few sections. First or/and second Saturday (s) in May?

May have someone to go along then that's very familiar with the area. We did some exploring around Hollerwood area last December.

Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
