Hello everyone, we'd like to officially announce our newest product release- A bolt together modular bed rack system.

    20180321_093305.jpg

We initially started development of this rack all the way back in December of 2015 with the first prototypes built and began testing in Spring of 2016. Yes, over 2 years of design and testing!
This rack has been a very long time coming and has been tested heavily to ensure a rock solid cargo solution for the Tacoma bed. The rack comes standard with 3 load hoops and 8 link brackets to create a super solid rack. Standard Hole patterns are included to mount all of your favorite accessories including: Roof Top tents, hi lift jacks, quick fists for shovel/axe and other round items, rotopax and even traction boards (Sized for Maxtrax and Tred Pro's) and you can easily mount auxiliary lighting to the rack as well.

Further, due to the rack being built from 12ga Laser cut sheet metal, if there is an accessory you need to mount and a existing hole location does not suit it, mounting is as simple as marking and drilling your own mounting hole where desired or making a bracket to mount your accessory. This makes for an incredibly adaptable rack system. We waited to release this rack until we believed every common accessory could easily be mounted straight out of the box, and the racks were thoroughly tested for reliability and durability.

These racks have been tested in some of the harshest environments over the past 2 years. We've ran them loaded through Death Valley on multiple rigs several times, through the trails of Moab, the Sierra Nevada mountains, Southern California desert, Northwest forests, thousands of highway travel miles and everything in between!

We're now completely confident in this new rack and it is going to be available for order starting at the end of this month! Along with the release we'll have just 20 spots open for discounted racks, and the racks will be in-stock for quick shipping! Don't miss out on this killer deal and get your Tacoma ready for this season's camping and 4x4 trips early.

    The details:

Rack sits 12" high over bed rails...
We chose this height as it is the minimum that would allow us to fit Rotopax and Traction boards, while keeping the tent down enough to not catch much wind on the highway and also give a reasonable amount of cargo room under the rack in the truck bed.

Manufactured from 12ga Laser cut and CNC brake formed steel, with 3/16" thick mount plates.
These materials allow for a very very strong rack, but keeps the weight reasonable as to not impact your trucks cargo capacity too much.

Mounts to the truck with no modifications necessary!
Our rack mounts to the factory bed side tie down tracks with 12 grade 8 bolts and T-nuts. Only tools required to assemble and mount rack is a pair of 9/16" sockets/wrenches. In total the rack is solidly held together with 64 grade-8 3/8" bolts and nyloc nuts to keep the rack tight and solid over years of use.

    Modular rack system
The bolt together nature of this rack makes it easier to ship than welded tubular racks and cargo bars, and also allows the rack to be broken down into the smaller pieces for storage during the winter months if it is not needed on the truck. Easily fits on a shelf in your garage. The modular nature also means that 1 person can assemble and mount it on the truck. Approx weight, complete is 80lbs.

    What sizes are available?
Initially the rack will only be available in the 12" height, sized 46" long (maximum length to mount to a 5ft bed rail). This rack will mount all the accessories listed above and is great for the common 48x56" (and similar) roof top tents. We have plans for a near-cab-high version later on, approximately 18" tall. The great thing about the rack being modular- if you order one height and decide you would prefer the other, the risers and link brackets are the only thing that need to be purchased and swapped! We will list the risers separately as their own part on our site once both heights are available to allow customers this option.
Have a Tundra buddy? These racks are also available in a wide version to fit Gen 2+3 Tundras as well!

These racks are considerably more costly in materials and hardware than a set of bed bars so the cost is going to be higher as well. Currently the list price is looking like it'll be $749. There will be the discount available on the first 20 of them though!

Thanks for the interest in that, we build them in low quantities as special order items. They are cost prohibitive to ship (fully welded, 1-piece racks) on their own so they need to ship with bumpers or be picked up/installed at our shop to make it worth it. If you're interested in bundling one with some bumpers and shipping out to GA feel free to send us an email or give us a call!

Parts are almost all cut, just a few sheets left to finish cutting. Comment if you want to get on the list to claim one of the 20 available discounted racks!

Is the list price still looking like $749? And for shipping is it going to be a flat rate deal since its modular?

Yes, after firming up numbers it does look like the official list price will be $749, and the discount on the first 20 will drop them to just $599!

I'll see what I can do for shipping, flat rate would certainly make it easier to quote out for everyone. I just need to finalize my packaging materials once I have a complete rack assembly welded up this week. Parts are coming back from laser this afternoon and heading straight to our press brake for forming. Over 1000 bends in this batch of racks to keep my guy busy at the brake for a day or two

very interesting.... :spy: if the shipping isn't crazy to NY and I can do a half down, half and shipping cost when it ships thing I'm game.
