Yo guys I'm not building a 4runner but I want to do a rear disk brake conversion for a 2nd gen axle as part of my spring under conversion on my first gen - one that would have the e brake and all the obvious stuff from a 4th gen 4runner. Here it is:

    https://sosperformance.com/products...-with-parking-brake-slash-tr-dot-ps2-dot-ta16

I already have the 2nd gen axle, but I could get a first gen Tundra axle for cheap as well and this is the disk conversion kit for it; it uses 05+ Sequoia rear brakes / e brake.

    https://sosperformance.com/products/rear-disc-conversion-with-parking-brake-slash-tr-dot-ps2-dot-ta5

Is there a big difference between how good the brakes are on the 4runner and the Sequoia? We never hear about this in Tacoma threads since everyone has drums in back. Thank you!

Yeah, not too stoked on them at this point, I ordered on 1/4, almost 3 months ago now.

That’s pretty shitty customer service. I ordered some replacement heims from ruffstuff for my panhard bar and they came in less than a week and were correct.
I know you don’t like ruffstuff all that much but I know not to order from that supplier of yours in the future.

What happened? I have a front diff waiting to go in from them - they took care of it in a day once it got to their shop - pretty sweet!

Do people ride there or is just a fun place in the same area. I know of two different pirate coves in ca and one will get you some tits sometimes, but didn’t know of that place.

    Ride what? lol

Nah it's a bunch of old dudes letting their lobster tails burn in the sun :) That said the cove is super picturesque, so if you can get a day to go there when it's empty and check it out, it's well worth the trip up there to chill - there's a cool cliff with a hole in it you can walk out on up above it where a bunch of tourists and families go without knowing the threat to their eyes down below lol. It's a cool place to kick it at night too. That whole San Luis Bay area is where I would go with my ex gf when I lived up there. Probably the best beaches to kick it on a date or to imbibe in the wacky tebaci south of Diablo Canyon.

Ah I see. Ride a jet ski from the dunes there but it looks a bit far. Stand ups don’t have a far range. My future home will be just under 2 hours to the area so I’m sure I’ll be there more than I used to go as it was 4 hours away.

I am moving out near Fresno, closer to Hanford but most people don’t know that place.
