I'm happy to announce that after new Upper Control Arms, hammering the pinch weld and more trimming of the fender liner and flare I no longer have ANY rubbing. It's been a stressful 2 days getting it all done but I'm extremely happy and extremely grateful to @MO Tacoma and @ChandlerDOOM for their support. It's so great having you guys as friends.

 

If you need to pass an inspection right away couldn't you just take the cap off, pass the inspection, then fix the cap later? As said above, I'm sure you can get help at the next Mod Day. I'm not from an area that does inspections so maybe I'm missing something... Otherwise if you want to drive up to the Quad Cities I'll help you get it wired. It would give me an excuse to finish wiring mine, LOL.

 

The 4Runner is getting safety and emissions done today. Thats always a stressful day. Hopefully I am not shelling out a bunch of $$$.

Well to celebrate I thought I would get started on painting the skid plates.

 

At least two coats of self etching primer first. I prefer ACE hardware brand as it sprays evenly in a nice fan pattern which wastes less paint.

 

Thanks thats what I am doing now. Its nice when the boss isn't here and I can devote time to my projects.

 

That Army post that is near the front gate of Scott AFB is a guard post not reserves. I'm sure there is a unit for @ClevSix around STL.

 

Is anyone in the group looking to buy a regular roof top tent in a couple months? I am going to order a standard RTT for a test product for a future group buy. I don’t really have much need for anymore tents so after I’m done opening it up and using it a couple of times I would like to find a home for it. If your interested and have a preference on size let me know, right now I am going to attempt to order a 2-3 person black cover/black rain fly/grey fabric/ aluminum floor cover/ annex. I would like to order something that someone local would like to buy rather than finding a home elsewhere for it because it’s not the right size or whatever

 

Will you be selling it for the price you're buying it for?

Nothing against NG but yeah, I'm looking for Reserve. Thanks for checking, if you all find something in the area let me know. There used to be some Army Reserves on Scott. I have no idea if any of them are still there or not.

 

I want an RTT but was not planning to buy one this year however if the price is right I'd take it. PM me if you want to talk details.

 

I remember that, they were a rotary wing unit, at least I think they were.

I drove past what I thought was a guard unit in Belleville, just southwest of Scott AFB, but is in fact a reserve unit. The 969th MCT I believe.



I also think that there may be a couple reserve units at Jefferson Barracks. There used to be a PsyOps group there.
