Has anyone been able to get continuous power to the OBDII when the engine and battery are both turned off?

I've got one of those GPS trackers / mobile hotspot things (specifically SyncUp Drive from Tmobile) and I'd like to be able to use it when the key's not in the ignition. I initially got it because it's got trip tracking that's great for separating business mileage from personal.

Right now it stays powered for about 5min after I kill power to the vehicle, but that's it. Usually that's fine, but I'm on the road a lot and use the hotspot while sitting in the car....PITA to have to keep the battery on just to have the hotspot powered.

Also, one of the appeals of this things is the remote GPS tracking....doesn't do me any good if I get towed, since they won't have started the vehicle. Bring on the "don't get towed jokes" haha, but it happens.

Thanks for the help. Tried searching but could only find info on constantly powering the 12v cigarette lighters and the inverter in the bed.

The fuse box is right under the dash, you can pull constant power right there with an add a fuse. Now as far as getting that power to the tracker/hot spot thing I don't know.

I’ll have to give it some thought. Wonder if I can split the OBDII and somehow power the tracker thing direct and let the truck shut off the other port...
