Yeah everywhere around me they were on their shit about plowing. I didn’t get to do anything fun in the truck today.

Back in my younger & dumber days I lost my lifted 85 Hilux due to salt, frame rusted. Even tho i clean & protect my frames on my yota's now (lesson learned) i still only drive'em when the roads are salty when i have too. My already rusty winter beater FZJ80 is up at my place in the mountains. My 4runner & Tacoma frames/undercarriages are still like new and i plan to keep'em that way.

Guess you got lucky. They had 40 east closed, west was open. East side was not plowed very well, west was clear. Looped around through the historic area which was plowed, salted, roads were nothing but wet. You'd think they would focus on main roads first lol. I'm from Long Island NY, I know snow and I know how it should be dealt with. MD has absolutely no idea, schools closed for 3-4 days for 6" of snow. I'm used to 2 feet, 2 hour delay, nothing is closed lol.

    RIP:sorry:

But mine has no chance. Traded my Dad my 2000 Tacoma (extra cab)for his 04 Tundra (4doors) when we started having kids. It passed away in 2014 due to irreparable frame rot. But I actively engage snow roads and we are avid OBX attendees and hit the beach. The salt air the sand the salt roads are bound to take its toll. But, it’s like the body, use it, abuse it, and tell better stories from a wheelchair than most will ever tell. This Tacoma already has 2 camping beach trips on the calendar for this year. If it takes us to great stories then the Soldier has served well. On the other hand our family still has my 91 pickup that also visited the same beaches and she still is truckin. Good ol 22RE baby!!!

86 and newer are IFS, 85 and older are the ones sought after because of their solid axle. I can get a good deal on a 87 22re/5 speed 4x4 but i prefer the solid axle Yotas.

Not much here (Middle River, MD). Maybe 4" total over the entire snowstorm.
