Could always get ARB elements fridge. Good to be outside.

That said the one I got from you I'm still not sure if it can be out or not. I haven't found anything saying no and Ronny Dahl had the same one on the outside for a little

You can have it outside, but don't call the ARB warranty department after lol

It's not water resistant, so I would imagine any water on the motor will blow it

Alright now I have to build a cardboard one, in the correct dimensions as the large ARB 50 Quart.....to make sure it fits. It is going to fit correctly BEFORE I buy anything :cookiemonster:

If I have to remove the rear seats to make it fit that is fine, just have to figure it out.

    External Dimensions: H508mm x W380mm x D705mm

Well my 37 qt didn't fit in so that front passengers can sit comfortable and recline to a full potential of the seats, so you are asking too much from the 50qt size :goingcrazy:

Unless you like to sit at 90 degree straight all the time

Did you fully modify the back and remove the seats?

The dimensions on the 37 and 50 quart are only different in height, not width

I did not, but you need 1-2" from each side for motor to cool, it will fit, but not be too comfortable I test fitted it without removing the back panel, just by putting it on the seats.

Yes I will remove every single thing in the back of the truck if needed to fit it, you under-estimate my need for this item to be in the truck :cookiemonster:

Seen that one i think. I just bought a coleman 3 burner stove, off kijiji for $5. Old but works well, made in the USA still. Not sure if yours would be anymore?

Always better and more stuff! My list has a little of everything. Some truck stuff, get CB hooked up properly, skids. Possible level kit. Awning for rack, tent. Luggableloo, trasharoo
Jerry can holders for the bed, weld up something to secure them.

Sounds like we have more time, is this August date the set one?

I am brainstorming a mod for my water and gas jerry cans. Going to get my co worker who can weld to help me.

I dont think its certain yet but possibly the date.

    Nemo Helio https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5053-815/Helio-Pressure-Shower
Eugene an I both have one. Works good plus just a 20L water can like the ones from crappy tire should be fine thats what I'll be using. And bringing my water purifier just in case.
Jerry cans I'll probably just ratchet strap them down. Would be nice to have a proper carrier but anything like that will just add more weight and I'm starting to consider lightening the load. Might go more minimalist for my kitchen too.

Instead of having two different pots, cast iron pan, coleman stove and what not might just go with the cup from my canteen, pot from my solo stove and the stove itself (twig stove) and maybe a small MSR single person stove. Like the ones that just go on top of the isobutane cans.

Would drastically reduce weight. Also probably won't bring my tent as well.
Then again majority of my gear outside the coleman stove is relatively light weight backpacking stuff. So not sure how much I can really save that way.

If anyhting I might do strictly fridge and not cooler as well as cooler adds lots of weight in ice packs too. So thinking just fridge, would just mean limited alcohol but meh.
Really not sure yet. Hell I'm not even certain I can make the trip

Yep I hear ya about weight, but I want a jerry can setup anyway so this is the time to get it done right.

I am taking every single thing into consideration right now for weight savings.

thing is water and fuel are both going to be a substantial amount of weight.

Yup. Have to make sure that weight isn’t thrown around.

I’ll personally be carrying 80L of fuel (maybe more as it will be cheaper to haul it in than buy there...) and 40L of water in 2 20L container. Plus I usually carry 10L in 5L containers you get from the store that I keep in my fridge.

Minimize weight, take only necessary items, we all seen what happens when you are a heavy pig on the trail, tsk tsk @tacoma16

    My list is the following:

    - 75Qt cooler for water, beers and some heat sensetive food for the first 2-3 nights.
    - single burner stove using butane
    - plastic cups, plates and knifes
    - buckwheat, pasta, vegetables
    - MRE/Ramen noodles for being lazy at some point
    - 20L of bottled water, 50% will be frozen prior
    - 60L of gas
    - 20L of water for other things
    - Nemo Helio for quick showers or whatsoever
    - Nemo portable shower tent
    - Single person tent
    - Sleeping bag and whatever I need to sleep
    - Some clothes
    - All the minimum and recommended requirements (fire extinguisher, med kit etc)
    - Bottle of a good Vodka

You can use the adjustable ratchet bar @llamasmurf sold at Princess Auto, it will keep things in place, that's what I will be using.

I usually have strapped them down. However depending on the gear you are bringing you may need to find another method such as a tray bolted down and the cans strapped within that tray.

All I know is my old setup was extremely tight. Stuff didn’t move but it was a pain in the dick to get stuff out.

Weight shouldn’t be a problem now @NorilskSever but for those new to the game....Dem bed sides though...

    All from my cap.

Yea a simple tray system that is modular so I can add and remove water and gas cans, held in place with ratchet straps for easy in out. This is my idea anyway. We will see how bad it fails.

These are the water cans I got, 2 of them.
