This is the current situation at my house, as of approximately 6:30pm...





See that section of "missing" snow on the overhang roof over my front door? As soon as I stepped out of the front door, all of that snow slid off the roof and landed on me!






My Tacoma in snow...




I have a feeling that we are NOT going to be needing these for a while!




My neighbor's BMW...







One of neighbors came through with his snowblower earlier and did the sidewalks, but at this point it looks like it might have been in vain...

You've got a 23-year old truck with 6-cylinder engine, automatic tranny, 4.10 gears, and almost 270K miles. You've also got 4-wheel drive which adds weight over a 2WD model, plus that toolbox in the bed and the grill guard on the front. I'm also guessing that with the hot temperatures in your area of Texas recently, you've been using the A/C a lot...

Yeah, 15 MPG sounds about right!

 

While the truck is just idling...?

Yeah, probably!

I'm finding that I'm not as sensitive to hot weather as I used to be...

One good reason to have working A/C is if you're dressed up nice and either going to a job interview or a first date. A/C prevents you from showing up all sweaty and smelly!

 

Well, that's a V8 and it weights a hell of a lot more!

Almost 5 years ago, my ex-girlfriend farted in my truck on the first date!

 

But it wasn't an Atkinson Cycle engine...

The current weather situation in my neighborhood...

In the pictures, you will notice that the neighbor kid shoved the sidewalks and driveway, but the snow has already started to stick again!

 

You help him shovel?

 

I didn't even know he was shoveling!

The neighbor kid is as sneaky with shoveling as @ChadsPride is with liking here on TW!

 

Well tell homeboy to let ya know so you can help

 

Hopefully we will not get anymore snow this year, and I won't have to worry about it until next year!

 

Or a can of spray deodorant and a Zippo lighter (I've got both)!
