Based on the 500 calculators out there, including the info on this very site. I didn’t say it was a bad deal, just there was more room. It looks like another $1k. But, this may be his unicorn and there are two variables he can’t control.

Which calculator on this site? Do you have a link? He listed a sale way below invoice. Just wondering how you're coming to the conclusion of him being able to get a better deal. I've been following this thread 6 months and very closely the last 2 while I placed my order, this is about as good as i've seen.

I didn’t say he could get a better deal, just that there was still money in play. Again, he has two things against him. It’s rigged when the distributor can modify the MSRP versus national pricing.

I'm changing this up, I am "qualify" to receive a vendor discount from Southeast Toyota but still waiting for a confirmation if the dealer I'm talking to will honor the price. This is what the vendor discount offer but I think there's still some wiggle room:

    $35269.09 before TTL

    2018 4x4 OR DCSB
    Cement
    Tech Package
    TOYOGUARD Platinum

So you're $3k or so UNDER invoice. Do you have documentation can share?

Ah, nevermind. You don't have premium package on there anymore. That makes sense.

    Guys,

Dealer offered me 2018 Access Cab, V6 AT, Parking Sonar & Navigation Package, All-Weather Flr Liner/Door Sill Protector, Exhaust tipe for $30110 (including destination, but exclude tax and license fee). MSRP is 32208. Is that a good deal? I am in Los Angeles County.

Which line? SR or SR5? I would think SR5 because I don’t think you can option sonar on SR. If so, it’s not bad. I’ve heard CA can be a tough market. That should be with the premium radio, correct?

Any possibility I could request a VIN? I'm interested in a truck just like this one, and my dealer is interested in price matching for me.

Been lurking a while....And finally stepping out to say hello! Been following this post, so I’m wondering what you guys think. I’m dangerously close to buying this. What ya think?

TRD Off Road 4x4 DCSB in Cement
    Tech and Premium

Dealer willing to “add” in the following to get deal done: Weather mats, bed light, mudflaps, tint, power tailgate lock.

    $37,400

Edit: I took some advice from earlier in this thread and shopped around dealers. I think this is best I could get. Closest I could get to this was $37,800 but it had just a few more accessories.

Why I said "Sold". But, I also didn't finance or buy any extended stuff.

I’m financing, because I’m abojt to get married and hopefully have a little one in a year or two, so want to keep cash freed up a bit.

Anyways, what's the general consensus around here as far as warranties/maintenance, etc.

I thought I would keep my Camry forever. Then I got the off-roading itch. First every repair was the Owl Gored mandated catalytic converter at ~ 100K. That is to be expected on every vehicle. Mandated tax. Second was O2 sensor at around 150K. Third was front left wheel bearing at 200K. Fourth was starter at 225K. All else was regular maintenance. Cleaned it up for the sale at 238K and was told how spectacular it looked. Toyota uses good interior components, I just cleaned it.

To answer your question, the extended warranty would have done jack shit for me.
