    TRD super charger, URD fuel mods and 2.1 super grip pully, Headers, 2.5" glass pack, Dana 60 front 4 linked, 14bolt rears on chev 63's, 5.38 gears, ARB locker in the front, PSC full hydraulic steering, 18" SAW 2.5" triple rate coils overs, FOA 2.5 air bumps, B&M launch controls, B&M trans cooler, 4 alpine 6X8 type R's amped, Red led rock lights, CBI front and rear bumpers (my design) CBI sliders, 4 riggid dualys front 2 in the rear, custom track bar, ARB snorkle, warn VR8000 winch, Viair 480c twin compressers..
    After spending tons of time researching and talking to people that build the toy crawl box's that idea won't work. So I have a black box on order. Looks like new gear ratio will be 2.72/2.72/3.0. That puts final drive at 478.

    I'm assuming theres an adapter from your tranny to the black box? Was not aware.

    The black box has the same bolt pattern as the atlas so it's unbolt the atlas from it's adapter and then bolt the black box in between the two. Super simple and less money black box was 1600 shipped and the crawl box was 2200. So win.

    nice! I wish that worked on a second gen but then it would make more sense to just ditch my fj case and get an atlas 4

    No two box's will have the same low range ratio. Seems pointless but I'm not doing it for the speed I'm doing it to push the T case back

    I remember reading that you are trying to change drvshft angles.

    Yup. But still that 3/4 ton triple box will be bad A

    Maybe a dumb question, but wouldn't it be cheaper to just divorce the tcase?

    Atlas does not make a divorce option and even if they did I would have to put a 2X4 trans in to make that work so no not cheaper and definitely not more bad ass

    I would assume they are good since everything I’ve heard about redhead steering boxes has been positive.

    Hmmmm gonna need to do a steering upgrade once I find a tow pig worth buying on craigslist... currently have a leaky Toyota IFS steering box and no hydro on the crawler. Lol

    Whatcha running for a tow pig?

    Plan was always to eventually go hydro assist on the crawler. But hadn’t thought of looking into other boxes (like redhead) first. My SFA conversion was done like 8 years ago, so it’s overdue for an upgrade lol

    Yeah that’s understandable I’m working on my hydro assist at the moment as well. Using trail gears 2”x8” Ram.
