I'm wanting to put them on with little to no lift. I may go that route.

Been working on it slowly for about a week now,
Wilwood part# is 260-12627 It uses the metric fitting so it makes it easy to install in the system. You will have to do a bit of fitting mixing and matching .

I think I paid less than Brett from Camelback. I ordered straight through Gunny though.

Does anyone have any experience stripping chrome plating off steel? I'm trying to restore my 80's rollbar for the bed but it has this god awful flaking and corroded chrome on it.

I don't want to paint directly over the chrome so I was looking at removing the finish. I was thinking of reverse electro-plating with a low voltage high amperage DC current with the parts immersed in a muriatic/chromic acid bath but it seems like a lot of risk for something so simple. Don't even know if my dinky Chinese AC/DC variable power supply is capable of doing it.

I've heard oven cleaner works but I don't know how well.

    You guys have any suggestions?

Take it to a chrome shop and have them remove it.

When I painted my front bumper pieces I just sandblasted them with aluminum oxide. I don't think it completely removed the coating, but I made sure that it was completely and evenly etched.

I seen a 90s Tacoma pulling a camper up a mountain steep windy mountain road with about 4 in of snow on it. Made it to the top like a champ!

I can do that, I have a sandblaster. I'm going to bring it to that powder coating place I had my manual hubs done at and see if they can blast it for me if I can't sufficiently strip it. Might even have them powdercoat it too.
