I’ve got Bilstein 5100s with 75,000 miles and I’m thinking of upgrading. Anyone here local to Cincy have Icon or Fox or similar that I could take a ride in to experience ride quality to help guide my decision making?

Fox is making me pay to ship them my rear shocks so they can inspect them and see if they qualify for a warranty claim. Good thing I kept the old shocks, bad news is I'm gonna be right back to 'can't go around corners safely' for another 2-3 weeks probably. Ugh.

Wonder if they have anything over my direction? Not really feeling a drive to Milford just for a meeting.

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
I joined the IFWDA last year.
I think they hate Toyota’s cause I ain’t heard from them but one time, and since I’m so damn good looking and lovable I know it’s not me.
I joined just to help out with funds since my work schedule sucks.
Butttttttt I would’ve at least appreciated a sticker, or a piss off.

What’s in the front? Do you like the icons?

I’m interested in the Bilstein 8112 also.

If you have 8112 money, I'll take a set of 6112/5160

I really like my 6112’s. I was flirting with the 5160’s and wish that I had spent the extra money on them.

My 5100s are very adequate for what I do on trails and on pavement. My have over extended or squished one in the rear, though. Sweats a little juice.
However, there's always room for improvement. Just not $1.5k+ shocks alone improvements

Yup. I went with a 1 inch block on the back and kept the stock springs. Now I know why y’all go with the lease packs. That’ll have to wait though for me cause I noticed that juice is leaking out of my lower ball joint. I’m guessing that it’s because of the lift. So upper and lower control arms will have to come first.

Sounds like you just need ball joints/end, not the entire arms. I'd suggest getting replacement upper arms though. At least, I know I need them.

I have a Deaver add-a-leaf in the rear. Does what I need it to do, most times. Heavy load will make it sag, and I've worked it pretty good in the time I've had em. Probably why the one shock is sweating too. Flexed too much before I got the bump stops in.

So you’re saying it’s not because of the angle of the lower control arm?
