I'm guessing he wants confirmation that 2018 tacomas come with rear sway bar.

Indeed Toyota does not make or provide a rear sway bar on any Tacos.

There are aftermarket generic ones available if your looking for one. I think summit racing carries them of the top of my head

I'm still not getting it. All 3rd gens came with front and rear sway bars. And if I remember right, so did all 2nd gens. What's so special about this?

Interesting. The rear is pretty stable without one, so not sure why they wanted to add it.

I've seen them on some (not many) tundras for years now.

No. Just a front sway bar. The is nothing but leaves and shocks out back.

A rear sway bar in a light pickup would would get it either very neutral or tend toward oversteer? The tail is already pretty happy in the wet and a lot of fun in the snow.

I think there is an advantage if you are towing heavy loads (prevents trailer sway?), but I don't know for sure.

I don't think the SR5s did. I didn't see a sway when I installed my SUMOs. I definitely have the front sway, though.

Tacoma's don't have rear sway bars.
They have stability bars which is the bar that hinges between the axel and the frame.

The picture below shows a stabalizer bar on top and a sway bar at the bottom. Tacomas only have the top bar.

Note:the picture below is NOT a Tacoma.

According to the brochures, all trims came with front and rear stab bars for '16 and '17?

Not on my Taco. That looks like a Ford with airbags in place of factory coil springs?

I see. Toyota calls both stabalizer bars...
The rear bar doesn't allow the axel to sway left or right (x-axis).

I agree. The brochure is a bit misleading but there is something there to stabalize the suspension.

I've always equated stabilizer bar with sway bar, but you are right--I don't remember seeing one down there. Either way, I don't see what the OP was getting at, since whatever Toyota was referring to has been on 2nd and 3rd gen trucks.
