If you use the Subaru OEM Kicker tweeter, they are direct plug-n-play for the Toyota unit. No cable/plug mods necessary. Subaru part # is H631SFJ101

I use this one on my dash. I really like it for the wireless charging. They have a non charging one as well. I like it because CA doesn't let me mount things to the windshield and I am unwilling to mount things to vents. It comes with a fancy pad that goes on the dash so that the suction cup can stick to it.

Also, I've been meaning to post that I ran the cable behind the touchscreen bezel. I am upset I waited so long to do this. It was so stupid easy and no more cord hanging in front of the screen and getting caught on things. Trust me guys, the bezel comes off and more importantly goes back on super easy and secure.

And now that I'm looking at it I'm going to take that ugly zip tied section and shove it behind the dash too.

They are only plug and play for the non JBL tweeters. The JBL tweeters use a different wiring.

You can connect your charger to the back of the socket ( pull the socket out and re-rout wires inside dash) completely out of site
    in the front.

Sorry no pictures, however there is nothing to it. Just pull that socket out and replace it with one like the one I used or similar.
to pull the socket out, I found that it was easier by removing the front panel and radio out. just like in the link bellow.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47sf5G8ZsnI

You don't have to unplug the radio, just wrap it up in a towel to prevent scratches and work your hand down to push the socket out.

    good luck.

Just a comment. You can push the power port socket out, but it is easier if you push gently on the two black tabs seen inside the metal part (top and bottom). This allows the center to slide out toward the rear of the truck. Then, the plastic surround can be pulled out toward the rear of the truck.

    Love that video.

Here's a pic of it apart:
    IMG_20180106_121053.jpg

I was scarfing on power wires for my front camera.

Lol that's the video I used to figure out how to take the trim off. No idea why it's so popular.

So, first, forgive me for being slow/dumb, but how are you attaching a USB cable to the electric tabs on the cigarette socket? I would need another piece right? Or do I disassemble my cigarette socket adapter and hard wire something in there? Is there a negative/positive requirement? Thanks so much for all the help.

You can see the polarity in my pic:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-3rd-gen-today.399305/page-4106#post-17438970

Red / Purple is positive and Black / White stripe is negative.

Are these Clazzios? Do you have more pics? I was looking at the same color scheme for my silver truck, looks great![/QUOTE]
Yes, they're Clazzios. They go great with my truck, it's trimmed in emerald green (in and out). not sure if you want inside or outside pics, so I included both.
