Going to look cherry after a wax job today!

I'm going to borrow his orbital polisher and hook mine up next weekend.

I'm not too sure quote honestly.

I will send you a pic of it tonight.

You clay bar before waxing? I need to get one of them.

Takes all the fine hard to remove particles off the paint.

I've never actually done it and need to try.

It adds 2 more steps in the process, but honestly should probably be done before using any type of polishing tool.

I'd in theory say this is how it should go

    1. Wash
    2. Dry
    3. Clay bar
    4. Wash
    5. Dry
    6. Wax

Wouldn't wash/drying after the clay bar reintroduce those fine particles?

No problem!!! As much as I love detailing and hold a lot of pride keeping my rig looking good....i have not spent much time researching or money on nice products.

I'm sure once i do, it will be just like anything else I do...TAKEN TO THE EXTREME!!!

    :headbang::headbang:

And probably way over done and too much money spent but oh well lol

    I'm not sure
But I don't think so. They are particles that washing just doesn't remove.

But, you may be right. That was just a process I read on here. Cannot confirm

    Stupid easy to do.
Makes a major difference with white paint.

I regret not doing mine long ago.

Well you know you've got the right mind set. If you're going to do something, you might as well go balls to the walls with it:D

I've been using this wax lately and it has been working great for me. I always wash, dry, wax on, and then wax off, all by hand. Takes about 3hrs from start to finish if the truck is really dirty (which it normally is).. I probably need to do some more research on good products for detailing as well though. I like to try and take as good of care of my trucks as possible.

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Meguiar-...75035&wl11=online&wl12=16550272&wl13=&veh=sem

Lately, I've kept my trucks pretty clean just by keeping it washed and waxed and then every couple of days, I pull into a cheap self wash and rinse the fine dust off. Don't even dry it after I rinse it since the water at the washes isn't typically as hard as the water at my place. If I don't dry it off at home.. there are water spots everywhere:annoyed:

Oh yeah, we've got some super hard water at my place. Have to use glass cleaner on the exterior glass just so the spots don't stick.
