Welp, I just found out my lady is flying in to SFO airport mid-morning Sunday so I won't be making it up to Mendocino NF this weekend. Super bummed, but pumped to hear the kind of shenanigans you guys get in to.

 

yeah, i get BAH for the 6 months of the academy, and then the 1st year is probationary and considered on the job training. so i will get BAH for a year and 1/2

honestly, dont feel like i did too hot on the interview. felt like i didnt answer the questions clear enough and may have rambled a bit. feel like i aced the scenario based questions though. i was the only veteran that has made it to this point so hopefully that helps a bit. the other candidates were in for roughly 10 minutes, i was done at 27 minutes (everybody is saying thats a good thing) will get a call about how i did and where i place next week, or early the following week. time to drink some beers and play some ps4 haha

From what little I know, it’s a good thing. There really aren’t any good or correct answers to many questions. They’re looking more at how you handle yourself, what you thought processes are, and so on.
