Sorry if this has already been covered.

Will the second and third gen models be identical (or interchangeable?). Thank you!

Sorry if it's been asked, but will they come bare aluminum or will there be a painted option?

Both will be options as far as I understand. I think the painted option is coming soon. But, all will be revealed soon on the launch date. At least that’s what their website says.

I will be selling my 4runner and buying a Tacoma. Looking at options on the new build and I am between the Driter and the GFC.

I really wish the Drifter left enough space to store a table under the overhang similar to the Alu- Cab Khaya Camper. Table are bulky and I always have a hard time to store them and storing them under the overhang would be perfect.

Depending on what year Tacoma you get, that may be doable. If you get a 2nd or 3rd gen, you may need to remove the Shark-fin antenna and then make a bracket to slide your table in. You may need to buy a thinner table like the Frontrunner one that claims to need 2" of clearance, but if you actually off-road, the truck frame is going to flex and the bed will articulate differently than the cab, effectively reducing that space you have.

Also another thing to consider is your 4runner doesn't have a tailgate. There are so many trips that I bring a table but end up never using it.

I can measure it, but the Alu Cab table is probably not much more than 1 inch.

    That is true MJ.

Plus having a dual swing out with folding camp tables is a plus as well. Pelfrey is coming out with a dual swing out high clearance bumper very soon (right now they have single swing out).

Usually I only bring the table when I go camping with the family.

I would be getting the FrontRunner table or the Table from Equipt.

I am shooting for a 2013-2015 Tacoma 4 door short bed, TRD off road. I have no problem removing the sharkfin. I think pretty much the signal will be blocked anyway from the Drifters overhang.
