BFG KO2 - 34 x 10.5 x 17

No cut, LR SPC UCA, rubs in front of tire a little.

 

Thanks for the help guys! Got it installed yesterday with scs stealth6 wheels in prep for a cmc next week. However, I’m noticing no rubbing when I mall crawled yesterday. Will try to flex it out a bit in the coming days. If it continues to not rub or have minimal rubbing, I’ll cancel the chop to add the cash to other upgrades.

How are these tires working out. I have a 2" lift going on and I'm keen to try these

 

imo they're the perfect size tire for this truck withouth having to get into too much trimming and tubbing bullshit.

I had to do some cutting to the inside of my fenders. I took a heatgun and zipties to my fender liners to push them back. And my SPC UCA's give me 4 degrees of caster, so I haven't had to do a CMC.

You get a "34" inch tire with a minimal amount of work. And beyond that, KO2's are great AT tires. The fact that they're D-rated is icing on the cake.

My lift is barely 2.5", if that.

 

I couldn't get them to balance. After a couple Road-force balances, I was still getting vibes and 40+ mph speeds. And, given their size, they're heavy as shit. These KO2's are still lighter, while being larger.

That said, the Coops never let me down offroad. They're amazing.

 

Been looking at the Coopers and these ‘34’s’ . Any noticeable difference in acceleration and rolling resistance between the two?

Would apppreciate seeing a pic taken from the front and at a bit of a distance from the truck

Not any noticable difference, no. Meaning, they both kinda suck. Having had both, I'd recommend the KO2's. They're expensive, but you get more meat for less weight, and have better road manners.

I'm sure it's a factor of both weight and diameter. Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly doable. I have no plans to regear right now. You get used to it.

 

Have you ever run a 285? I am on a 50lb 285 70r17 currently. While certainly more sluggish off the line than stock, i don' t find the truck feels beat.

I am just trying to get a point of comparison. Thanks for your insight

Subbed. Deciding between BFG 34x10.5 or falken mt 285/70

 

The wheels have already been decided. SCS Ray10s 8.5" x 17" matte black on gunmetal. So hopefully everything works out alright.

Tires came in today, but won't be getting the lift underway until I have a solid brick of time to tackle it (Sunday/Monday). Targeting the wheels and tires for Tuesday and an alignment whenever they can fit me in.

 

Welp...here we are. 34" 10-1/2 BFG KO2s on 17 SCS Ray 10s in Matte Black and Gunmetal.

No rubbing pre-alignment. Minor rubbing post-alignment. I'll be taking it back in early next week to get it dialed in.
