Everything went smooth with the transmission swap. Had to run to harbor freight and get a new transmission jack but other than that things went relatively smooth. 8hrs start to finish. 4F22D986-DC41-4A00-A57B-9347853046DB.jpgF390B4EF-4230-435F-BF57-4EB6A6BF5485.jpg 938FE26C-0EF4-4DF1-A185-C8F0BE8221E8.jpg

Everything feels good. Ran through all the gears and hit 80 on the way home.
Glad to have her up and running.
Day trip to desert on Saturday to break it in.

Yeah I don't think I've ever seen an Uber driver here in CA with a truck. In Missouri I got picked up by an Uber driving a new, lifted quad cab Silverado. I think gas prices are too high out here for them to justify that. Most are hybrid vehicles here.

I was on vacation in Amsterdam a couple years ago.

Would you believe they use Tesla Model X's (starting at around $100k) for TAXIS!?

It's crazy. My friends and I took an Uber out in downtowns San Francisco and I was making small talk with the driver. It was a huge black Chevy Tahoe he said he bought at a government auction for $1k. It was an ex-FBI car. The driver told me he had a PhD in Psychology and made more money driving for Uber than he did as a Psycologist in the city. That's insane to me.

What’s happening to it now? Or why did I replace it. It started slipping and making tons of noise. I drove it while I saved some cash for a replacement. It didn’t take long to loose all the gears. So my truck sat for a month while I gathered enough cash and waited for it to get delivered. It came in yesterday so we got it in today

Wish I knew your A340E was going out. I have my old one with 92k sitting in my garage collecting dust. Plus I'm driving down there in a week!

I'm not a fan of the term. I would doubt most on this forum are mall crawlers.
