Pricing in my area has been kind of all over the board just wanted to get some insight on the market right now and I know it varies in different areas. However I am looking to trade my car for this truck plus some cash:

    Here is the truck details

    2007 Tacoma DCLB Sport 4x4
    218,000 miles
    Auto
I want to just assume it has all the base options
    Has a color matched canopy
Black aftermarket wheels with pretty normal sized AT tires
Fab Four front and rear bumpers (not installed)
    Rock Sliders
Cold Air intake (I know no added value really)

Books out on the high end for about 12k just curious how accurate that price really is according to the market.

Anyone? lol. I know the truck looks pretty dirty but I think with a good deep clean with a spacer lift and some 285/70/17's and those fab four bumpers it might be worth 15k?

I think you are high. Probably 10-11K trade in. All the extras like the cap and suspension are worth zero. You would have to sell them privately.

Not trade in pricing, I have 2016 wrx with a rebuilt title and its like new but only worth 20k at best. Hes offering his truck plus cash on top. I am just trying to determine the cash amount on top. The bumpers are still new in the box he claimed he spent about 3k on them all together.

So you would be paying 14K for the truck in essence. Way too high. That is a good amount of miles per year. THat truck is worth 11K tops. Dont care about the bumpers or the topper. I would ask for 9K cash. But then again you are selling a rebuilt titled car . Are you sure 20K is the right price for your WRX or is that high?

I look at Craigslist for reference in pricing and this truck seems to offer more then the others posted for the same price. I know here the most sold rigs are Subarus and tacoma but I have not had a 2nd gen in so long. I planned on keeping it for awhile and selling it later on after summer. The miles are what scare me the most with the truck not sure how long these trucks are rated for.
I could probably sell my car for 20k if I found the right buyer possibly 19k Problem is its hard to find someone with that much cash to buy a rebuilt title car, my car only has 29,000 miles on it also a limited wrx to with stage 2 . This is a spare car for me I am just looking to trade down for the extras cash in pocket.

I've owned a few cars with rebuilt titles that I bought with damage and fixed myself. This is a function of how much you have into your Subaru. I don't think that truck is worth $12k with that many miles, $10k is probably about right. As others said, the aftermarket stuff that comes with it adds zero to the actual valuation of the truck, but it could be worth something to you. If you were going to run out and buy those exact bumpers anyways then it might be worth something to you, but lets assume that isn't increasing the market value of the pickup. So if he is adding $6k cash, that puts the magic number right around $16k. Do you have more or less than that into your Subaru? Did you do the rebuild yourself or buy it from someone else after they fixed it? If you rebuilt it then you might have less than that into it, and I'd say take the trade. But if you just bought it for $20k+ then I wouldn't do it.

I think you guys are right I could potentially be running into many issues further more having more miles and such. Although the cash seems appetizing I don't want to spend a bunch of money fixing up a truck that might not have had that much maintenance. my car is basically new as well. I already have a truck as well.

I am in the car for like 18-19

Thanks for the input everyone probably just keep the car unless he will offer more cash

so he countered me for 8k without the bumpers seems decent I bet I could get 11k for that truck from what they are going for. Just needs a deep clean.

Have you actually looked at the truck? How is the frame and did the OP do the maintence himself?

I checked for recalls and he sent pictures of the frame, he is a good 5 hours from me so I am trying to iron everything out before we meet and adjust price accordingly, all the basic maintenance has been done himself and he took pictures of CV boots and ball joints but I wont know for sure how good they are until I drive it.
I plan on driving it through the summer and probably selling it to get something cheaper, its just easier to sell a rig below 15k. I already have a 2017 Colorado with the duramax.

I noticed a lot of trucks in my area with 200k+ miles selling for 11-14 that are SR5 models some even pre-runners. I don't hold onto rigs very long so I want to make sure I can get what I need out of it.

Will do, I should know by tomorrow.

The 2.8 is great I have owned it a little over a year now, has great mpg for my freeway driving with the lift at 33's. Towing all that good stuff. It is tuned and deleted so it has some good power now, the truck in stock form is kinda of a turd. I bought the car to keep miles off the truck.
I did sell my 2017 Tacoma limited to buy it.
