My 2017 Tacoma V6 used to start up on the first or second crank not so anymore. Does anyone else notice extra cranks to turn over? It only has 200 miles.

Battery voltage most likely low from sitting on dealer lot.

Try a charger if you have one or let dealer know since it's warrantied.

It was working fine for the last month. Cranks are still quick, its just not starting as fast as it had when I bought it. Will check battery.

Battery could just need that extra charge. I had a evo x new and a few months later slow crank. It was a bad cell from sitting at the lot . Started fine when I got it.

If it's something else dealer needs to check it out for you anyways.

Just tested with the specific liquid battery tester and I am only floating one-two balls out of four in each cell.

Took the Tacoma to the dealer today to have the battery checked. They stated it was not fully charged but charged enough to warrant no additional charging or replacement.. Printout shows the battery should be 582 CCA, tested at 560 and was at 12.69 volts. They stated that my specific gravity ball tester was not accurate. Funny thing is it seems to work fine on my other batteries that I checked. I also had them check my tranny fluid level while there and they stated it was at the proper level.

Mine actually skips a crank sometimes. I think it has something to do with the clutch not being all the way depressed even though I'm to the floor. *Crank* *Crank* *Skip* *Crank* *Start*.

Have the dealer check your battery, and the charging system. Also, are you in a cold climate? Although Toyota battery advice says hot climates are worse.

So you are saying that the starter is turning the motor over but it is taking more revolutions until the motor fires up. And the starter is turning at about the same speed as before. Ok, hmmm, have you noticed it running any different while you are driving it. I see you only have 200 miles on it so, if it was me, I would drive it some more. How long has that gas been in there?

450 miles and the gas tank has been filled at least once. Seems like it getting worse not better.
