That's lame. I had my uncle who is an Indiana State Trooper run the plates on the sketchy mobile "body shop" guy. I can always count on him to run plates when I need them lol.

Got in a huge argument with the guy and he called me thief who never intended to pay for his "hard work". Guy was a joke. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but in the end he cost me roughly $200 because he dented the cab which was perfectly fine before hand. During the argument he told me to punch him in the face, dude was absolutely insane. I gave him $20 so he would just get the hell off my property. When I went inside to grab the $20 my dad said he kept going off about how I was a shitty person and I stole from him, I made sure to put my daily carry on when I went back out since he seemed like a loose cannon. Gonna cost me $1,350 for a real body shop to do the repairs the right way.

New throttle body time if I'm not mistake, since yours has an electronic throttle. Flooring it should give you 1/4 of the usual throttle movement though if you need to limp

Better question is how did he fine me... Oh probably just the big ass dent in my door. My thinking was "What the hell why not? The door likely needs replaces anyways and so does the rocker but if he can make the door work and the whole thing look half decent then sure what the hell it's worth my $180 that he wants." I couldn't have been more wrong about that whole situation. Live and learn. I'm tempted to call the guy since he gave my dad his number he wouldn't give it to me since I was a thief :rofl:Oh I forgot to mention the part where he threatened to call the cops on me for not paying him.

Hahaha that is terrible. Bet I could do better than that...

You know you can fix that relatively easy if the rocker is unsalvagable. Find a donor truck and cut the rocker out from that truck and cut and weld it to your truck. Grind over the welds, bondo if needed, and get a new door. Good as new.

@Shubin Fixed his cab that was in a side impact but using a cut from a cab and cut and welded it to the truck.

Yeah pretty much. I can do most mechanical things but body work isn’t in my repertoire yet. I took it to a real body shop for estimates today and am gonna get it fixed right

Yeah if I had the time and knew how to weld I’d do it myself but unfortunately I have neither. New shop is gonna cut the rocker out and weld in a nice new one. Then they are gonna put on a donor door that I’m getting from Ohio for $50.

My truck is a garage queen. It's OEM as fuck and I like it that way. I take my wife on a "date night" every Friday night with the Taco to make sure that all the lubes get moved etc. Tonight I decided on bowling. Here's what we came out to after we were done...

    20180323_223510.jpg

Fire in a building close by, we got out of there quick.
