Again, i'm not expert, just trial and error and what i've dealt with on my truck.

I first bought the xspeed amber led's for the front. plug and play and they worked fine.

after a few weeks i bought the red led's for the rear but didn't know i could run into the fast flashing. worked fine in the brake light housing. got fast flash when the lights were on in the turn signals but didn't fast flash with the lights off.

read about needing resistors and purchased 6ohm. took the TS out and put my halogens back in. no fast flash (still had the amber led TS in front).

wired in the 6ohms and all was gravy. but temps here were cold. about 10 to 20* on average. worked great for about a month until we had some warmer days in the 50's and the passenger side would randomly fast flash.

example: hit blinker stalk, get 2-3 standard blinks and then fast flash. didn't matter if lights were on or off. issues was only on passenger side. i thought it could be a bad resistor so i replaced it. same thing. worked fine when cold, acted up when warm.

my assumption was that the ambient temp required a higher resistor maybe. Bought an 8ohm. that made it worse. fast flash immediately with lights on, worked fine with lights off.

at this point i was done. i removed all led's from the rear and put the halogens back in. this entire time the front had the led ambers.

after a few days, the fast flashed returned. i swapped the front led's from left to right and the fast flash remained on the passenger side. put in the halogen amber and no fast flash.

so after buying 3 sets of led's and 2 sets of resistors totaling almost $100, i got nothin. :(

Everyone keeps referring to resistance being the issue but it's also the draw or current. (i'm not electrician so bear with me)

i do know current is not pushed, it's pulled. so the led's pull/draw less current than the halogen. the resistor causes the ecu to think it's a halogen based on the resistance level, but the current draw would still be lower than a halogen. my guess is the cluster is using multiple parameters measuring not just circuit resistance, but current draw as well to determine if a bulb is malfunctioning. for whatever reason, my passenger side is sensitive to those measurements.

your mileage may vary. if anyone wants to try my led's i'll sell them half of new. :)

    Hmmmmmm... o_O

That sounds super annoying! I am going to swap just the front turn signals first and see what happens. Then maybe later ill do just the Tail/Brake lights and see what that does. I don't know if I even want to waste the time and money on the rear turn signals. I'll probably just purchase WinJet tail lights eventually anyway.

    Thanks for the write-up man!

So can. Someone confirm. If i am correct?
I added LED reverse bulbs and license plate.
I will be adding the Meso mirror LEDs (currently in shipping)
I will probably be adding Auxbeam F16 H11 Led for fog and Lo
Will these bulbs work for front signal?
Or should i not fu$k around?

    Three questions...

Why AuxBeam over the confirmed best Hikari Phillips?

What bulbs are you referring too as working??

What turn signals? Front or Rear?

    1. Uhhh well seemed they had good reviews and $75 Canadian off Amazon. Shit is expensive here lol.

    2. I meant work without flicker or issues.

    3. Front turn signals.

go with whatever led headlight you want. you will not have a flickering issue.

the turn signals 'should' work. some work fine, some don't.

So my question was more... What front signal bulbs have been confirmed to work without issue?

    Ahhhh i see.

The AuxBeam F16's are nice. I currently run those in my fog beam housing. Check these out though and if the price is right, they are much better over the AuxBeam. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077BT6M6Z

These here have been confirmed to work in the signals without resistors and no HyperFlash https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074YVZD4X

I think it would be cheaper to have them purchased for you here in the US and the have someone ship them to you.

Dude that is insane! Wow... look at this for shipping in the US.

Yes I used to make stuff and ship to Canada. It would be around $12 shipping from a "friend" in the good ole USA. That is the ticket.

I’ve got a pair of NINEO H11s I’m selling for $40 shipped if anyone’s interested. Got some Cali-Raised fogs, only had the nineos in a month or so. Love em, still have them in the highs and lows.

Replaced the license plate bulbs today. Put these in:

    20180323_165421.jpg

Nothing about it was easy and my XL hands paid the price.

    20180323_184529.jpg

But with some help of a pair of extra long needle nose pliers and a delicate touch I was able to pull it off, and in under 5 minutes.

    20180323_204621.jpg

And with this bulb, which is why I tested this version, there is no excessive glare in the rearview camera.

    20180323_204938.jpg

So for the money, and the results, these get my seal of approval.

I also replaced the damaged Hikari low beam bulb and finally got out and took some updated after photos. I'll process them and finally post my review on those. Spoiler alert, yes, I am very happy with the purchase.

Man I really hate to tell you this, but the lenses of the license plate lights pop off from the top/outside, and you can access the bulbs in their sockets without bloodshed. I just used a pocket knife to get under the edge of the lenses. Pry gently and you won't break anything.

Yea, me and gentle are like oil & water. I was going to try it but when I got under the truck I said let's do this. I just felt like if anyone was going to break a lens it would be me.
