I think the point was he spent $700 no matter what. So he will be out the money whether he gets the product or doesnt. Waiting 10 days for a refund shouldnt matter since he already had plans to spend it.

I get that, but when I see someone say 700 shouldn't be that much to someone then it irritates me. At this point I swapped sides with the evidence that's been shown lol, but still see no right for someone to judge someone else's financial situation

Makes sense. Yes, $700 is not a drop in the bucket.

But that’s money spent to have a certain product. Now that money is tied up that I could be using for something else. Like the sliders I want from you

Or maybe he'd like to spend that money (within 10 days) on a rack...since he already has plans to purchase one..

Like I’ve said before I’m sharing my views from my experience. Some people agree with me and some with the store. So F’ing be it. If you don’t agree with my view then leave. My financial situation is none of your concern. Just because I don’t like having my money tied up to nothing does not mean I can’t afford it. That’s just a very ignorant statement y’all have made.

Nope, as I also stated I understand how $700 could affect a business in small town USA. You're all just being a bunch of cry babies.

Any company that can't afford $700 as a goodwill gesture for their mistake, and incurs bad publicity, shouldn't be in business.

Openly admitted that they are so backed up with orders they can’t keep up, yet they are going to sweat over $700?

    Lol

That's not exactly what I said. Its close, but not on target. I said the following:

I actually set the bar pretty low, not even talking about cash, I was talking about credit. Credit that would be returned to him in a week or less.

Maybe it's just me but when I hear someone complaining about having credit wrapped up, I assume they actually "need" it. If they "need" it why are they buying roof racks for trucks? And if they don't "need" it, then why complain about it at all?

In any case, after the mods told the rest of the story, the complaint changed from "They didn't honor my BOGO coupon" to "My credit is temporarily tied up".......Fuck me, talk about first world problems.

Yeah, you've said that multiple times, however you opened Pandora's Box when you stumbled into a deal too good to be true, tried to take advantage of it, got struck down, and then started a thread on a public forum about how CBI didn't honor a deal that wasn't meant for you without including the whole story. If you don't want the peanut gallery to contribute, request the thread be deleted or locked.

Uh it's Tax season and like the OP I'm sure there are tons of people being irresponsible with their refund. Small business struggle to be competitively priced with all the mega retailers. $700 could be a big deal, doesn't mean they shouldn't be in business. By that logic OP shouldn't be aloud to have credit cards.
