right but the trd package was established then. It didn't become established and an option until 98 is my point.

Soon to add rocksliders. Went wheeling today. Hardly hold 60 up to Idaho springs from denver without dropping to 3rd and running 4k rpms. I need a supercharger. How mandatory is the 7th injector for a supercharger? Also, anyone out there done a 4BT cummins conversion or put a turbo on the 5VZ? I hate naturally aspirated engines. About to start u-hauling it with the ZR2 cause it's so slow up the passes and not easy to make it go strait with those tires but damn do they pull when I need em to.

 

Tested out the wildernest on my reg cab last night.

I do ! '97 Tacoma SX, Standard cab V-6 w/ E-locker factory (added as a stand-alone option when truck was ordered). Still have the window sticker.

 

What size tires??

 

What suspension are you running on those whoops?

King 2.5x10" Rear Shocks relocated outside the frame
Deaver J59's
Camburg Limit straps
Solo Motorsports Shock Relocation kit.

I might need more compression in both the front and rear shocks if I do more whoops like that.

 

About to buy this 02 4wd
It’s an old sugar cane truck. Got 137k

 

After nearly 3 years with my '96 Tacoma, I'm finally able to post photos of how it looked, and some of my modest improvements.
$400 for the truck, with bed-liner and stone-deflector.
$300 for the cap off craigslist.
$25 for salvage Sony CD radio & $15 for 40-watt thrift-store rear speakers.
Finally, $430 for the biggie - 'factory' AC, using salvage parts & Rock-Auto parts, including of course the 'magic-button'!.

 

Here’s my ‘04. The snow photo from this year, but the mountain ones were taken in ‘07. It looks the same minus faded fender flares and some dents.

Damn, this truck is gorgeous.

 

Thats a nice V6 sx. Very well done.

Pricey though. But be a great truck for someone. slap a blower on it and it'll be a true unicorn.
