Pretty much every small "craft" brewery I have been to always has a stout or porter along with an IPA or lager choice. Just sayin'. :anonymous:

Drinking light beer is like wiping before you poop. It just never made sense to me to sacrifice taste for 11 calories.

Oh no light beer for me...I'm just saying it's on the shelf where it belongs.

Eh, I think the only bad thing about it is how it drives up the price...some of these craft beers are freaking outrageously overpriced.

Occasionally, I really don't want to spend $12 on a 6 pack so I buy Bud Light Platinum but that's as low as I'll go. Tastes like piss water but at least it's 6% abv.

Tried buying PBR the other day in an effort to save a few bucks and relive the flavor of my underage youth, but man that stuff just tastes like crap. No getting around that.

I am!! Portland, ME has so many Craft Breweries it's stupid. They all taste the same after a while. I'll stick with my favorite.

In the summer I'll throw done some Mich Light or Lite...

Agree. And some are not following suit. I can still get a 6 of "craft" for $9.99 at my place and sometimes other really great tasting stuff for $8.99.

Consistent! Would have been considered "craft" at a point in time.

Trader Joes has their own brand of craft beers, $7 per 6 pack no matter which one it is. Couple of them are 7% abv or higher, pretty good too

Thoughts are the same, really enjoying scotch, bourbon and rum at the moment. Still enjoy craft beer but I stick with the KISS theory, annoyed by aficionados with their details. If it tastes good, drink it.

I mean seriously though.....I don't want to have to pick from 389 different IPA's. :D :annoyed:

Beer has to much filler. It's why I drink scotch.

It is a bit out of hand these days.

Twenty five years ago I did a bunch of home brewing simply because there was very little good beer available where I lived, but I could get the supplies to make my own. So I did.

Since moving to ATL twenty years ago I've not felt the need to home-brew -- even in the mid 90's there were a couple good local breweries. Now you can't swing a lauter ton without hitting five of them.

When in the mood, I'll try something new from a local place; especially when traveling. Generally I just buy the same tried-and-true brews that I like and keep going back to, with preference for the local independent folks.

I do tend to go for a nice bit of scotch or rye on an ice ball though. Bourbons are going a bit into the craft beer category with everybody and their brother deciding to launch one.
