Hwy 42, east west Highway south of Raleigh, Several memebers live on the west side of Clayton i live on the east side, none of us in a city proper, and a days journey to get anywhere. A geographical anomaly

Hahahahaha yea that happens from time to time. The boat has pretty tall sides so he wasn’t too tempted to jump out. Plus that boat runs about 30-35 so I don’t think he even considered it lol

Where are you going to be? Come on up.

We are going to pitch up for the night in Enfield and then to Hatteras the next day. Holla if you are in the area. That will be the 8th.

Enfield ? ugh, middle of nowhere ( The KOA was decent ) and way north of 64east.

64 is a nice ride to the coast though, watch your speed once you get to the 2 lane, the bears (real) and the troopers (also real and a much larger issue) like to jump out at ya, neither are good for you or your wallet.....

Thanks for the tips. Yeah, I just picked Enfield for the KOA, then we'll take 64 on out. It's less than 20 miles off the path but not bad for somewhere we know is decent.

Come on out. I can't wait to drive on the beach, but I'm sure it will be fun and done pretty quick.

That KOA came in very handy, we were supposed to be camping at Medoc Mountain about 10 miles away, I missed the gate by about 30 mingetting out of town. The KOA popped up and we just headed there for the night. Dark setup with no lights, but we were fine and not on the ground. Was clean and not crowded, I just set up and checked in in the morning.
