TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Keep an eye on it and see if it pops back on is all you can do. I had a similar thing with my abs and trac light coming on after doing some stuff to my truck. Next day lights were off and never came back. I think I decided to blame my aggressive pressure washing for that and not me messing with the battery connections while I was doing some wiring. Also just a side note, if you use a large ratchet when undoing the battery clamps, make sure to keep that sucker AWAY from the blower..

 

I just stumbled across this thread the other day. Good stuff. I have a 2.55 pulley on the way, and thanks to this thread, I found the shorter belt and colder plug info.

I’m going to read through the thread later when I’m finished in the garage.

Current setup

-2013 4.0
-Magnuson SC
-2.825 pulley
-UCON
-DT long tubes (Apparently the URD headers won’t work with coil tower gussets)
-Pipebomb (for ground clearance before I had the SC)
-URD 3” Cat-Back
-URD fuel pump upgrade
-IPT valve body

On the way:
-2.55 pulley
-7th injector
-61 lb injectors
-Snout cutter
-AFE Pro-dry intake

I Also think that I convinced @stairgod to put his new TIG to work, and make us both an aluminum coolant reservoir that fits in the normal location

Guess I need to order the belt and plugs now.

Anything I’m missing? I have the pulley Install tool already.

I was checking out that rad the other day. I forget what temp T-stat came with the UCON kit.

I saw the adapter plate for the TB the other night too.

First I’m hearing of the tensioner. I’ll have to check that out.

 

I checked his profile. No thread on the tensioner. Where would I find that?

Looking at the tensioner pics. Is there spring tension there, or just an added idler.

Maybe I’m simple, but I can’t tell what exactly is going on there.

Is this something he’s selling?

For the guys who are interested in better filtration for their AFE cold air intake, I just ordered a donaldson filter, I will report back here when I find out if it fits right.

 

Also for the people that had orders with URD for these radiators.....I sent URD a message in regards to shipment , I’ll let you know if they’ve gone out when they get back to me...
