    I will say it for the contractor that follows, thank you. It is nice to work on stuff that was fixed or installed properly the last time. :thumbsup:

    I give the guy that works here seasonally all the credit. He has been absolutely instrumental in getting this all done. Every panel, pull box, main...whatever it is he touches he gets it right. The folks before us abandoned a bunch of crap in place and you really had to scratch your head, trace wire, check continuity, and just try your best to figure stuff out. If you go into the boxes he's cleaned out, they look almost empty. The only thing in them is just what needs to be there. Simple, labeled and to the point. He really knows this stuff and takes a lot of pride in it to make it right. No color changes mid-stream, no funky stuff. It's a lot of work but we shouldn't have to mess with any of this for years. Every season he makes advancements, it's that much more time we have later to get more done.

    Sounds like a real pro and someone I’d like to work with. Up this way it seems a lot of the kids that are getting their cards don’t understand craftsmanship. It’s in and the lights work but following them is sheesh.

    This guy is pretty old school. He built up a pump business then got into the electrical side of it because a lot of electricians don't understand how they work with the controls...it gets pretty confusing. But he retired and turned the business over to his son and started snowbirding. I lucked into having him. My first year he was a volunteer. Come to find out he's retired Army and I talked him and the bosses into being a seasonal hire on direct hire through VRA. So it's worked out pretty good. He has my old (2012) F450 service truck and getting stuff done. Couldn't ask for a better co-worker and friend.

    And if I do that ugly fixture will stay there until those LED's burn out. A LONG time from now. Should do it once and do it right. Although most of the house still looks like the 70's and 80's guess I don't want to get too radical LOL.

    ...and I forgot the other half. His wife is a volunteer and they work together. They've worked together so long she can pretty much anticipate what tools he needs and when. Then she knows when he's done with them and helps us with ideas with troubleshooting. Together, they make things pretty good. She drives my pickup when I need to move equipment, helps roll ratchet straps, drag chains....whatever she can do. And they're both in their 70's. They're slowing down a little, but neither miss a step and we should all be so lucky to carry on like that at +70. Yes, I really lucked into getting them.

    The money you will save on power you can put towards a new fixture.

    I feel the feet pain bud, all day on brick floor in a black smith shop might not have been to bad but pretty sure the shop and bricks were the same temp some where around 30 but hey it was positive so I had that going for me. Was going to go with a chemical and liquid relief decided just chemical and be horizontal for an hour and call it good.

    Well, another busy Saturday under the belt. Beard is gone - back to baby face. Installed deadbolts in the house and a steel jamb on the back porch door. It's now much more kick in resistant. It's been on the list of things to do for the last 18 years... Later in the afternoon, I met a member that lives across town and he gave me his front 'take offs' lift kit. He upgraded to coil overs and removed billies with Toytec coils. I'll certainly pay it forward!

    Ugg You are only about a year to late on this recommendation ... I have 6 brand new 4 bulb 8 footers in boxes awaiting install in my big shop this spring NON LED :{ I have been debating tossing them on cl and getting the LEDs after seeing @Tacoma Mike retro fit . I don't think I want to put new retro fitted would rather new straight up LED but the cost for the fixtures....uggg this place is expensive !

    Yeah I insulated the walls and they have 7/16 plywood on them and have to get a beam up to put up a ceiling then it gets painted . I currently have 4 each "TEMP" 3 head led spots one on each wall but standing in the middle ie the largest room to work yeah it is a dance to not stand in my own light. And if people are over they tend to start moving toward the door when I start talking shit to my self .. "Get out of the way stupid" , " Move moron" and so on.. One buddy .. lol asked me once hey ahh did your meds come in this month .... I did not hit him with the bolt I threw but well he didn't ask me again, he was all mad it was only a 3/8 by 4" bolt it would not have hurt that much :}

    When they are in that groove, I stand back. When he needs muscle or machine I step in. I've learned a lot from him but a lot still flys over my head. Some of it takes time to sink in. But they do the same. When they want to help and I'm doing my thing, they stand back till I call them in. 3 is a crowd but we all pretty much know who's who when things are going on. It's better to be humble and watch than screw things up.
