Final check before I do a couple things - ADD is a useless system once you have manual hubs right? I have a j-shifter. I'm going to take out the whole system so someone can buy it for a 4x4 swap if they want it. I'm assuming the big cylinder in the driver's side wheel well with the vacuum line going to it is only used for it as well and can come out too, right?@BartMaster1234

Second, what are these brackets for? My truck never had a sway bar since I bought it so I was thinking they were for that - either way I think I'll zip them off with the grinder while the engine's out since they keep getting in the way. Thanks!

I don't think it'll make a huge difference once some time passes.

Your engine block will never rust.

j/k just take care of it when you have time.

This is for a factory-installed trailer hitch and wiring.
There is a small black box 20180324_161445.jpg behind the driver's
    rear seat on a 2003 double cab.20170307_095651.jpg
Remove the box from the back wall by removing the 4 phillips head screws. I used a ratchet with a phillips bit for the right side as there is not much room.20180324_165121.jpg
Behind it is 2 inline fuse holders labeled brake and turn.20180324_161457.jpg
I opened the brake fuseholder and found this.

You could test it with 12v to see if it's still not working when receiving full power or do a voltage test to see if it's receiving full power.

Did you have it done at the dealer or another shop? Did they do the bearings as well?

Got any pics of the inner boots? It's the inners that are the most problematic on 1st gens, in my experience anyway. The outer boot fins look like they may be rubbing from the pics you posted, in which case the inner boot fins are probably really severe. You should look into a diff drop kit, but let's see what the inner boots look like first.

Edit: also you shouldn't be getting 4" of lift with that setup...something isn't right, maybe someone else with better knowledge on the matter can chime in though. That seems way too high

That mount is for the sway bar. You don’t need it #becausebadasssolokitbitches! But I use it to mount my skids.

90% of the time at least my drivers side mirror is folded against my door in the winter.
Gets in way when I’m looking for tracks.

But I guess whatever floats your boat

Diff drop ordered. I got it figured out. My old suspension had sagged severely. (My leaf springs are practically upside down and my old coils appear to be progressives yet they aren't supposed to be). So I figured it sagged 1.25-1.5" over 15+ years of sitting with a camper shell on it (previous owner barely drove it, 46k on it when I got it last year) and I always thought it sat low compared to other tacomas. So in short, my 5100's brought it up to stock height plus maybe 1.75". I remeasured the lift, 3" not 4" like I said earlier. My UCA's appear to be at an acceptable angle so I'm not concerned anymore.

Once it hits about 50 degrees here everyone stays indoors and complains about how cold it is. I'm not kidding. Haha.

Oh if you do. Don’t use round bent tube like me. Use square tube. Notch the angle and weld it. Add a gusset on the inside of the angle. Wish I would of done it like that. Would be way stronger.

The problem with bent round tube is when you put weight on it. It bends back out. Not a hole lot just enough to piss you off when your trying to get the bolts in and out of that mount. Lesson learned and sharing wisdom.

There's always at least one 3rd gen T4R and a handful of 2nd Gen T4R's in my local yard at all times. They get a 5-lug Tacoma once or twice every couple months.

I have never seen a 4x4 Tacoma before though. Only one PreRunner for a 30 mile radius.

Oh I know, you’ve told use cold states multiple times hahaha, but it still makes me laugh everyone you say it.

50 degrees and sunny is the weather I wish it was year round.

I had to do all sorts of bending to my brake lines to get them to work around my shocks. My drivers side looked the same - but bent it up and around. Passenger was a little different than yours.

Also not sure what you can do with ebrake stuff when it's on the back. Mines on the top, and I had to relocate some of the guides and make extension brackets.
