Being diagnosed as having the INTJ personality type, I actively attempt to keep my judgemental tendencies in check. So I tend to be sympathetic of others who share the same struggle. Sorry you don’t like cats!

 

I think they are shipping straight from CSF so "received" probably means order received. I will try to get ahold of my contact at CSF on Monday for an update.

I'm starting to think something odd is going on with either the UCON or ECU...
Driving today on the Interstate, I got a P0138 (Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage- B1S1). I suspended that pending code on the UG. Later on today, I got a P0158 (Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage- B2S2). I keep getting the P0158 code after shutting off the truck and starting it later on, but have no seen the P0138 code since I suspended early in the day.

My first instinct is to change the O2 sensors (both are the downstream ones I believe, although I am not exactly sure where they are located. I think they are after the cats?)

Another thing I am thinking about it trying to get another session with Scott since some of the reading I have done mentions it can do with lean conditions as well. I know we changed the PW on the injectors by 10% since I was first throwing that "Rich Code" on the UG and it just so happened to be 10% rich (according to Scott). This drove him changing the PW.

Now I am back in the questioning/troubleshooting phase. Odd that I had the VSS pending CEL on the UG yesterday and now these two codes pop up today.

 

Email Scott. He will perform some voodoo stuff. Don't reset cel if it pops up again so hopefully he can read it and identify the source.

 

sounds good. for the record, I did not reset the CEL since it has not popped yet on the dash, it has only displayed on the ultra gauge as a "Pending P0158 Code" and all I have done thus far is suspend the code so it doesnt keep chiming every 120 seconds. But I will keep that in mind if a CEL does pop; I wont reset it, thanks!

 

Alright, I figured out the snout cutter. I was overthinking that one...

Now, I’m looking over the instructions for the 7th inj. Everything was very straightforward until the last page.

Step 4. “Connect the harness to the ECM”.

No picture, no explanation. What exactly do these two wires connect to?

Can’t find a pic or write up anywhere.

You’d think, when I called to place my order to make sure I had everything, and I specifically asked if I were missing anything (twice), this would’ve been mentioned.

Especially, since he asked if I had the UCON.

Anyway, thanks again for solving the mystery for me.

 

Yeah .. your not the first person on here with the UCON that added the 7th that URD forgot to mention you need the harness.

It really should be included with the UCON but *shrugs*

 

When you get the harness. Yeah.. it should have been included.

 

$1600 for the UCON & $600 for the 7th? Sure in the the hell should be included with one of them.

My first UCON screwed up on me while we were in a camp ground right after installing it. Misfire #2 cyl.

After pulling the Supercharger in a campground, and swapping the coil pack, plug, and inj. from cyl. 2 to diffent cylinders on the other side of the engine, it cost me $300 to get my truck and trailer home.

Gadget was right there with tech support, and did get me a replacement UCON immediately. Can’t complain there. It’s bothered me a little ever since that no discount on my huge order was offered, nor on subsequent orders.

I guess I’m not surprised that the harness is extra.
