MST Recycling (in Rancho Cordova) may have a TB for your truck, for $250.
    Give them a call 631-7777.
They are my go-to place for old Toyota parts. Big inventory and well organized.
Thats where I got my Tundra calipers ($50 each).

    Good luck

I think keeping the ADD but hooking it up to switch can activate instant 2LO or something? I don't recall exactly how it works.

As for the vacuum canister I have no clue. I remember reading about it on here every now and then but I don't remember the purpose.

@Fernando I was at the yard today and tried looking at the 4Runner, 2 Tundras, and one Tacoma they had to find a TB for you. But they all didn't have an engine - LOL!

I tried - but you can definitely get one from MST Recycling in Rancho Cordova like he said above. I've been to their physical store and they have a whole entire backlot of Tacomas.

$70 is a lot to replace the TB - takes less than 20 minutes on my truck at least.

@BartMaster1234 or @mechanicjon should be able to help you out with that - I'm anti-electronics (even though I don't mind them lol) - I'm currently in the middle of removing my cruise control.

Oh man I should go take a picture of my brake line, a shop said they had to replace it when they were doing stuff and didn’t tell me until they were already done.

I don’t know who said it on here but the description “shade tree f*ckery” fits it perfect...

I've never used in in the 19 years I've been driving so I figure it's time I get rid of it. I think I can buy some things I will use with the money I receive for it lol

If it’s not hard to change I would buy the 70$ and run until/if it gives.

Since it doesn’t seem like it does damage to your truck?
    Unless I miss understand.

Way too expensive to buy it new. Toyota makes you buy the whole throttle body which just isn't worth it. They won't let you buy only the sensor which is why it's so expensive.

If you have the money go for it. Otherwise I'd buy it used.

Nah I was just testing the AC in my 5-Lug, I've never turned it on before because the blower motor was dead. I picked up a new one today and tested it and it works great.

I'm really surprised that Toyota only used that part for 2 years. Had any one compared it to a 2nd gen?
