Cops were all over my complex as I left for SDHQ, apparently that was some sort of domestic dispute. All I heard out of the shouting was a female saying "ow what the hell" and a male voice saying "take your shit and get the F**K OUT" so apparently one of them called the popo and they rolled in battalion strength with 3 cruisers. @Mike330R you missed the fun by a few hours.

So I bought the S2's but they didn't have my pattern (wide cornering white) in stock so they are on order now. Sometime this coming week. Bro credits +2
(I've officially decided that bro credits are allocated based on $100 increments of money you spent on the item. It's an SI unit now.)

Then I went to an aquarium store and looked at some fish... another money sink I really really don't need to get into.:anonymous:

Which one is that, I know over the years most of the good ones have closed down, hell az seabottom had been closed for a good 6 years now and yet the building still has the sign and art on the windows lol. I miss my saltwater tank, and constantly debate if I want to get back into that money pit.

It was called Aquarium Arts on dobson and baseline, just stopped in because I spotted it and felt like looking.

It didn't seem like a particularly great place.

If anything I would get one of those hex 10gals and just do a basic freshwater with a few tetras and danios.

Yah that is one that’s stuck around for years, it’s like you said not the best but when your competition becomes petco and pet smarts you look like the cream of the crop for local needs. I would end up doing saltwater again since I enjoyed it, just pricey, so I probably wouldn’t buy 100% new this time and look for some used deals, since that’s what killed me when I sold it all was how much I lost hah.

Yeah I suppose I could do a 10-20 gal saltwater but I guess I suffer from the intimidation factor of salt vs fresh. It's not in the cards for me until I have a more permanent living situation anyways.

The roommate wants a bamboo shark. I have to admit they are cool looking, and are apparently friendly little sea puppers that will eat straight from your hand if you "train" them to. Budget for that is waaaaaaay bigger... minimum tank size: 180 gallons.

Yah that’s what killed the hobby for me, I had a 55g in an apartment and was looking to move with it after almost 2 years, and It just wasn’t worth it to restablish some of it and risk loosing some of the expensive things.

Since we have our house if I got into it I don’t think I’d waste my time for less then a 150g, and probably would want closer to 200g. I also always wanted a zero edge tank, so damn sexy lol.

    Congrats!
I'd be interested to know your RPM and speed going up the hills on I17.
I assume you added a brake controller? I'd be more worried about stopping quick.

Brake controller is on order, stopping wasn't really an issue with a partially loaded trailer driving across Bell Rd. from Tom's Camperland, but, down a steep grade I might be concerned. The trailer is 3300lbs unloaded so it's on the light side. In 4th gear (manual mode) I stick around 2800rpm at 65-70mph flat ground from what I saw on the trip home. Grades will be more challenging, but the truck is up to the challenge.

Alright guys. Replaced the carrier bearing and middle u joint today with @BDMcGuire. Originally before replacement the carrier bearing had lots of play and a bad squeak while going in reverse. All the u joints were fine, they didn't have any play in them. Decided anyways to replace the middle one since it was already torn apart.

The bad squeking sound is now resolved with new carrier bearing, but now I have a bad vibration and a grinding noise (with heavy gas) from about 0-5 mph. Any speed after that and it's fine. What I did notice when we installed the u joint is it was very tight. Not alot of movement like the others, even after greasing them up. Maybe I pressed them in to tight I don't know.

You didn't press them in properly, dunno if you fucked up the bearings inside by now but you should have made sure it "spun" (tilted in any direction on either axis) easily, like no resistance easy. You bop the flanges with a hammer after pressing it in to "loosen" everything up which is actually just making sure it's seated evenly.
