A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Sounds like a "class action" lawsuit against the Toyota "powers" in Hawaii is in order. If it is truly the case where you Toyota buyers in Hawaii are not getting what is advertised on the sticker, then you have a legitimate case. You may just get their attention -- if nothing else.
Suggestion here -- get your "clubs" together and speak to a law firm that specializes in this sort of thing.

Yeah! That's some fu¢k'd up shit. I plan to finance my 4Runner I'm looking at in AZ as my older sister lives there and just have my local CU use my sisters addy and bring it home to Oahu through work on the plane so no weeks on end waiting for a boat. Been saving my monthly bonuses in my account so I got leverage if I don't nn financing at the end of the year this December.
I'm banking on some great savings or I'll buy it in Jan 2019 kind of like I did my wife's Taco and just using my bonuses no monthly lol.
Sad how Servco has the market and Toyota USA can say no competition clause bs in my opinion.
That's the reason many people from the neighbor islands would buy on Oahu cause the mark ups are hard at 10K above msrp.
I had bought my Nissans, sedan and truck in Cali and flown home to Oahu cause I found better pricing and options stateside.
I'm just happy to be back at Toyota as it was strange to stray away, but we grew up on big island and only drove stick, and since Toyota bought it back. We are returning. I'll nn to get used to an auto in the 4Runner unless they bring that back too as our last 4Runner was an 01 TRD 5MT Supercharge and I loved it.

Did your sister have any issues with the warranty? SERVCO is not Toyota USA/North America and was always curious if a Toyota purchased here on island would have any issues if moved to mainland for warranty coverage.

Anyone who thinks that they can take on a Hawaii company and get a legal remedy to their problem is disillusioned or ignorant.

You're absolutely correct about that. It's the old adage Big boy networks and strong support that's heavy here in the islands.

You're correct two different entities. My sister 4Runner was purchased new here and she arrived in SEA just shy of 5K by 60miles. She had to work with Toyota dealership in Puyallup to get her information from Servco which I helped her with on this end and work with Toyota Corp to become recognized and valid stateside. Luckily all 4Runners are made in Japan so there we no issues of support. Also she called ASC warranty and they provided her Washington dealership information for coverage and transferred it from Servco since she is now being based there.

    Hope this helps.

**There was a lot of bs you have to go through, but it was all on paper and emails and her service record as this was her 1st service, but Servco had the initial delivery and service mile entry details which was crucial as it was a new car according to federal law showing it was never sold or registered before her to qualify under the new car guidelines.
