never talk to me again if I DID buy a Jeep? Things are lining up quite nicely.

TacomaWorld is by fay the best site out there. I've been on 4Runner forums, TN, and a few others. They are all nice and have their own way to run things, but Bob and the awesome mods know how to keep this Forum up on its toes.

Obviously, I'm well known around here. I just don't want to be ignored if I get a Jeep.

This is just a concern to me.

I would but they are expensive and the thought about having a Solid axle, front and rear lockers as stock just says "Bought" to me.

    Plus I need more room.

im assuming your looking at a wrangler.
unless you buying the 4 door jeep you will be losing room and wont have any security what so ever. I looked long and hard in to buying a jeep but wouldnt gain anything out of it other than being able to take the top off and off road. not to mention how ungodly rough the ride is. I couldnt stand having a jeep as my DD. but hey, not my money.

haha I wouldn't do that! But then you would have 2 vehicles...

And I'll always be happy to help.

Yes. The 4 door Wrangler. Well, Its not going to be stock for long. I plan to put 35" MTs and a 3-4 inch lift.

Well I want more room in the back for everyone else to have fun. I'm the party (fun clean) person. I want everyone else to have fun and not be cramped.

It will be a hardtop, most likely!

Perhaps you keep the truck and get a cheap beat up Cherokee for your trail rig. Then it's sort of a win-win

Lents you will be dumping more money into a POS jeep, seriously, your gonna be screwing yourself over by getting a jeep. This guy I know had a frontier, 6 inch lift, it was nice, but he wanted a 4x4 jeep, he bought an 07 rubicon recently, now all i see on his facebook is working on the jeep again, or picking up the jeep from the shop

Like a 2 door Cherokee? I've thought about that but that takes away the porpose of me getting more room. Thats more of the reason why I would like to trade out.
I know about Jeeps problems. My mom had 6 Jeeps. I really don't see much of a problem with them. Everyone that has one at my school have no problems with them.

Really its all how you treat it. If you treat it like crap- you will have to pay for the crap it throws out to you. But if your efficient you shouln't have many problems.

I was thinking more like a 4 door Cherokee.

So if you get a jeep are you gonna do the things that you do to your taco like jumping it........the way i see it, the jeeps that are out now days can only last if you dont drive them. the older jeeps i like cause they are better and stronger, the new jeeps are just plain shit. back in 07 we almost bought a new unlimited, thank God we didnt.

plus Lents do you really want to drive a 3.7 202 Hp jeep, shitty engine

Nope no jumping. I only did that because that was the only thing I could do because its 2WD. If it was 4x4 that would be a different story.

I dont think their that bad. I'm sure theres some Ford, Chevy and some Toyota owners that say the the 2nd Gens are crap because of the TSBs and Recalls. Its a manufacturer leaning towards quantity less than quality. Toyota is the same way right now.

And no, My eyes are open to the 5.8L HEMI
