I've done a few searches, but I can't find the right combination of words to find this (and I know I have seen it before). Are the beds on the 2nds gens and the 3rd gens the same?

I'm looking at a tie down rack that only shows up to '15 on the shops website. You know how some shops aren't always on top of updating the website... trying to figure out if that is the case here.

CBI bed rack and sliders, Backwoods Adventure Mods front and rear bumpers, etc. And some stickers.
Distance from the top edge of the bed to the cargo rail channels is about an inch more than on the 2nd gen, but the width is the same. I built my own bed rack and tried to move it over -- it fit width-wise, but I couldn't secure it. So it kind of depends on what you are looking at and which dimensions are actually important.

Since that comes in 2 pieces, you should be able to make it work as long as the channels line up on the 3rd gen like they do the 2nd. You might have to do some grinding. I haven't checked my rear channel.

This got me thinking, I only have the deck rail on both sides of the bed, not the back of the bed against the cab. Are all 3rd gens like this? If not I’m missing one of the three sides.

It looks like the 2nd gen bed has all three sides of the bed with the rail.

Yes, the 3rd Gens do not have the rail against the bulkhead, but you get get one for around $30-$40. Here is the part #:

Thanks for the info. I’m only seeing two threaded holes in the middle of the back of bed, does this piece attach on each end to the existing two side rails?

I’ve searched and looks like he’s not making it anymore.

With this I could just connect to each side rail and the two threaded holes on the back of bed and save from buying the third bulkhead rail.

Athfab makes one but it’s two pieces and doesn’t look at thick.

Actually, this may work where I could buy the third Toyota back rail and connect all three with these.

The 2005-2020 box assembly is the same (with some minor variations due to yearly updates). Toyota increased the height of the box side panels and they just wrap around down to the existing lower height box.
