so I tried adjusting my bed once again this morning, and nothing. still no movement either direction except for up and down. so I tackled adjusting the bumper. voila! bumper is now completely even side to side and looks way better. I am very OCD and that drove me crazy.

now, while removing the step pad from the bumper I did break one of the black round retaining clips that holds my backup sensors in. can I buy just one of those somewhere? I didn't put the step pad back on yet because I want to fix that before I do.

I appreciate all of your guys' help with this issue too! I had already talked to the dealer about this and they were pretty much not wanting to even look at it since all the Tacos on their lot looked like that. they said it had to be that way for the gas tank, which I know is bullshit.

You gotta be kidding with your dealer’s response. Seriously. Glad you got your bumper aligned.

Yup. Pretty common unfortunately. The bumper can be adjusted. It’s not as easy as you’d think but don’t let the dealer tell you they can’t fix it. They fixed mine but different dealer told my brother they couldn’t adjust it. So he did it himself.

Not possible because they wont get paid for it by warranty claim. Great service!
