First success story I’ve heard...others have marred their edges and cracked thier lenses, aside from that they’ve made them loose and they aren’t the same but great to hear!

Doing it that way I popped the lens off the housing. Going from underneath is the better way.

Ok, my cell phone sux at night. Guess I need the new S9+ with the new camera after all. :frusty:

Just so we are on the same page, this review is in addition to everything everyone else has posted/said in this thread about the new Hikari Philips LED bulbs here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077BT6M6Z/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

All these photos are Before (Halogen) then After (LEDs):

    Before_01.jpg

    After_01.jpg

I'm farther away in the after shot. I suck at this.

    Before_02.jpg

    After_02.jpg

Farther away again and there are more cars so that kinda screwed the pooch here as well.

Now for the shots that matter. These others are not very good examples due to the ambient lighting throwing off the camera. These next shots are the money shots and are what matter the most to me.

    Before_03.jpg

Above is the original halogen in the woods up at my house. Below you can really tell the difference and honestly, this is how it really looks with the new Hikari Philips LEDs.

    After_03a.jpg

Here's how it looks with the Lows and Highs:

    After_03b.jpg

Funny how you can tell the difference between the yellow halogens and white LEDs.

Here's another example of how LEDs will improve my night time driving out in the country.

    fence_01.jpg

See that picket fence on the right? That's the edge of a produce farm field shown on the right closer to the truck. Deer love to travel along that fence and cross the road here. Now look at how well that fence is lit up from a couple hundred more feet in distance. Spped limit here is 50 mph.

    fence_02.jpg

So in summary, I am more than happy with these bulbs and definitely recommend them. Yes, there are likely some high output halogens out there that can come close but these things are amazing out int he country. I think the best attribute is how LEDs (not sure about HIDs) make any reflective surface light up. Even in the day time. So from a safety standpoint thats a huge plus, to have vehicle side marker lights blow up even in the day time. At night, holy cow. Signs too, guard rail reflectors, anything. Just wow.

Sorry for the delay but I am a very busy man. LOL

Oh, as some of you know, one of the bulbs was damaged in shipment :anonymous: I believe, but I sent the vendor a email and in no time they provided a new bulb for free. Very cool of them.

    Cracked_Collar_01.jpg

Here's the bulb with the cracked colar, that I glued back and how I added the tab that completely broke off. Necessity is the mother of all invention. Obviously damaged in shipment.

    Damaged_Box.jpg

Definitely 100% satisfied with this purchase and with these LEDs.

Yea, these bulbs are pretty easy to install. I did take out the two bolts on the washer reservoir to pull it back a little. Instally is like 30 minutes tops, including getting a beer. Oh, and because I am short AF I stood on a plastic egg crate so I could see exactly how to align the tabs of the bulb with the socket since two of the tabs are different than the third.

YAY, awesome pictures, Rob!!!! You totally sold me (well actually, everyone else already did that for you, but this is the icing on the cake)! Between seeing this review this morning, and also seeing Amazon telling me that the Hikari's were part of a flash deal...I FINALLY ordered a set!

The Hikari's (the newer ones) are normally $90 but Amazon is having a flash sale were you can order 1 set for $72 (while supplies last)!!!!!!!
