Nice duo! The Tudor BB Bronze is a very nice watch, and IMHO the BLNR is still the best looking reference in the current Rolex lineup of steel GMT's.

I love my BLNR, never selling that watch. It has a lot sentimental value to me (took me 3 years to save for it). I do however have my eye on the new PEPSI GMT II. Hopefully prices won't be too inflated and I could pick one up for a sticker price within next year or two

Every Seiko I've had (on my third) goes through a battery about every 1-1/2 years. Compared to the cheapo Casio's, they eat batteries. Case in point: the Casio digital in the picture is one I've had since the mid 1970's. Still works, although I don't wear it any more, I prefer analog faces. I have NEVER changed the battery. The other Casio is my daily beater, had it a couple of years but expect it to last as long as the other one. I've had a couple of other Casio watches over the years, they give good service but I consider them throw-aways if they get too beat up.

The Aeromatic 1912 is a reproduction of a WWI German aviator watch. It's a mechanical self winding watch, the back is clear and you can see the works. It is a 21 jewel movement. It just gets occasional use.

The last two are my Seiko chronographs. I had a third one, given to me as a high school graduation present, was a self-wind chronograph. It went missing a number of years ago, never have found it. Has my name and date of graduation (1972) engraved on the back. The chrono on the right served me well through my USAF years. The Chrono's are my Sunday-go-to-meeting/ dress-up watchesDSC00305.jpg DSC00308.jpg DSC00310.jpg

Mounted the SKX007 back on to the bead-blasted bracelet. Self-regulated, keeping time at +1.8 sec/day on the winder.

I really need to break down and buy an SKX. I’m not sure if I want the 007 or the 009. I like the classic look of the 007, but the Pepsi bezel is really nice too.

Cool watches, and I like the Kahr K9! I've been carrying a P9 in a Milt Sparks Versa Max II holster nearly every day for the last four years or so.

I think the previous Casio wearer (no batteries since the 1970's) is missing something. It's probably a tracking device ..the aliens come around every couple of years, dart him, take him to the mother ship and do their "tests", replace the tracker's battery and plunk him back down with a little memory and ass wipe. The timekeeping function of the "watch" is just to make it look normal.

Too much X Files in the 90's

Thanks. Before I retired I had a suit and tie job with many formal events, meetings, etc. So I built up my "fancy" watch collection. Now they mostly sit in the safe hopefully appreciating or at least, not losing value. Most will go to my son.

The narrator talking about Japanese cars that "don't immediately turn into a pile of rust", then brings up Toyota in the next breath...:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Good video though! Big fan of Seiko watches... can't afford the Grand Seiko though.

I never watched X Files, would rather see Star Trek reruns. I'm amazed at this watch. I haven't worn it in years; part of the front is missing (a plastic trim border), and it lays in a drawer under my socks. I've kept it to see if it outlives me. It has a lithium battery, and I'm sure the current demand for the works is minimal since there are no moving parts. I should contact Casio and see if they've had any others reported to have gone this long.
