    super weird. I'd remove LEDs, disconnect - battery terminal for ~5min and try OEM bulbs just to rule everything out.

    So in my case I can guess that this does not have anything to do with the lights. I had not tried to do the maps yet. When changing the dome out, I had the light switch between the maps set to "lights on with the doors" and the dome light switch set to "in between 'on' and 'on with doors'" utilizing my patented technique of finding intriguing ways of screwing up. While inserting the adapter to cary power to the LED's I know I managed to put the wedge it between one of the power prongs and the metal that was in some contact with the frame (read: Ground). Boom, map lights flared and went out. Fuse was blown, but not before the map light assembly was toast. So that finally got replaced last week. Dealer was fantastic about replacing it. Now it works again.
    I'm scared to try again but am stoked to have the reds. When I get back at the end of the week next week from travel, going to install V1 red maps, Red ultimate Dome, V3 ultimate black turn signals, upgrade to six standard speakers, and CBI rock sliders. Should be a big week! Thanks Meso for all your hard work with these. Will post pictures once I do the install on how NOT to do it. WILL be pulling fuse AND putting the switches in 'off' AND pulling negative lead on the battery.

    I installed my ultimate maps last night. For those who haven’t done it yet I’ll share how I got the stock bulbs out. I saw that I couldn’t pull the bulbs out with my fingers and didn’t want to pull the whole console out. I noticed a pen I had laying around and thought the rubber grip of the pen looked about the size of the bulb. I pulled the grip off the pen and pushed it up on the bulb. It pulled the bulb right out.

    The hardest out of the install was getting the grip off the pen.

    That's a good idea. I just took a small piece of boxing tape, wrapped it around the bulb, and it slid right out. This may be cleaner than the tape though if someone wants to save the peanut bulb.

    Will you please shoot me a link for your supplier of LEDs and the color temp you use for the whites. I want to do some interior lights under the dash on my driver and passenger side that will match my lights when I get them (if you are ever able to make a dual color set).

    I am very pleased with them. I like that they do not blind me. They work as intended, a map light that you can use while driving without being distracted.
