My first attempt at smoking a brisket.

 

Nothing but love for you, too. I'll give you a hug at the block party .

 

Bacon wrapped onion rings over a little peach wood yesterday. Onion, sriracha mayo, wrapped in bacon, then hit with a little Meat Massage . I was only responsible for some appetizers as my neighbor provided a smoked pork loin.

 

Looks familiar. How were they?

 

Been awhile since I've done those, and looking at your drum realize I have not done them directly over coals. Now that I can need to do it that way next.

But stumbled across this last week. Will be next on my list

 

I hate when this thread stops giving me notifications. Almost forgot about my home here lol. Haven't BBQd since Super Bowl .

Finally got a Sam's Club membership. The first trip netted 7 lbs of pork belly (currently brining), a whole pork loin (now cut into chops and frozen) and two 16 oz prime ribeyes. I think I'm going to like their meat department.

 

Since I’m making bacon at the moment - is there any benefit to hot smoking bacon? I’ll probably just throw it in my MES, turned off, with an Amazn Smoker tube and let it cold smoke. I’ve never done it but I assume it’s an ok way to smoke bacon.

 

1st cook on my WSM 22! Not much just quickly thrown together chicken thighs... only had mesquite wood at the store too..

 

Ok new here but this is my contribution. six racks total smoked with apple wood and smoked twice baked potatoes with jalapeno bacon on the mash and on top.

 

Totally trying those soon!!

 

Finished! Smoker didn’t budge at all on temp! 235 for 3hrs! Not use to that with my 22in Kettle! Gonna be a great summer
