If you're running an older map, I could give you 1.03C 2T3 87oct to try out @St.Germain

I'm on the last 1.03. before any test tunes. i was hoping to join in on the data gathering train and life just blew up on me right then, truck in the shop, had to get out of town...

anyway the timing is hopefully good for an update. really weird how I've degraded on this version. the degradation has come quite a while after flashing, and I've never experienced it before. like 2 weeks ago i was complaining about not being able to hold revs at 1k in first. now i can't hold revs all over the place and driving is pretty tough at times.

Well if you want, I also have 04B12 and can email you 87oct 1.03C 000002T3, which is the map Mat had me test prior to his announcement that he'd figured out what was what. To my knowledge, everyone else was testing various versions of 2T2.

If you would prefer those, I'm sure others could help you out too

@St.Germain - that really does not sound like a tune issue - sounds like a sensor issue. Recommend you check the MAF and the intake tubes for tightness first. CKP is possible too. The software is not skipping around like that, there are some bad inputs causing that behavior.

funny you mention that.. I've already checked for leaks up top and I'm hitting it with the MAF cleaner again tomorrow. but I'm not expecting anything. no reason the MAF would have seen anything recently. hoping it's nothing more obviously.

For the record you can run an even lower octane map like the 87 on higher octane. Just not the other way around

    Just figured I would offer

Just pumped 89 to see if it would make any difference with the 1.03B 87 tune, got 22.6 MPG before I pulled into the neighborhood. Parked it at 22.1 MPG. Pretty stoked as I haven't seen that at all from a fresh fill up.

What were you getting with 87? Performance is better with 89 running an 87 tune

It varies. My driving isn’t the most consistent but I have been averaging 18MPG. But I’ve always averaged this no matter how I drove my truck.

You’ll have to try two tanks of gas. See if it is repeatable. Would be great if mileage went up.

*Not that I bought it for decent mileage
