So i have an 01 taco interested in a plug and play kit. I used to have one on my si and it was the best investment I ever made. Can I just buy a kit to fit? Will I have to modify anything? What type of kit do I need?

yep, plug and play. No splicing or anthing required. Just hook into the battery, tap into the original headlight plug, and install the HID bulbs and ballasts. :)

^actually, thats exactly what you are saying...why dont you go to sylvania.com and get your bulb type, or google, or bing, or any other readily available source to tell you what is in your trucks manual....

quit being lazy...and why even post a question if you dont believe the correct answer you are given?!

oh, and its a 9003, not an H4...or is it....:D

Well the reason I ask for a confirmation is because I had already checked the Sylvania website and got this for the bulb type 9003/HB2. I took that info and went on to DDMTuning.com and could not find that specific bulb type. So I pretty much want to make sure I buy the right bulb so I don't have to go through any more hassles than I need to...

Will you have to do anything else? Depends on if you want your headlight to be legal, hard to ID as illegal, hard to prove as illegal, or illegal and dont care. Generally speaking most HIDs on a Tacoma, including all plug and plays, are illegal and easily identified as such.

you should do it the right way. there are no good plug and play kits. there is going to be glare and your going to piss off alot of people. you can do a retrofit for about the same price and it will be MUCH better than any PnP kits.

No, you cannot do a retrofit for the same price. $55 vs. $300+.
