That was my first bike as well! The only vehicle I've ever owned that I regret selling. Perfect bike, you're going to get 90 mpg haha. Hold on to it, even when you get a bigger bike. This thing is so nimble and will take you anywhere. There are a lot of minimalist dudes who take these across the country (doing 50mph on the highway but still). Will last ya forever.

I have regretted almost every bike Ive sold. Not the 1990 Kawasaki K100.

But like truck setups, I am trying out what I like, upgrading, and figuring things out.

The XLs, while still a smidgen snug in the palm area, feel much better and have a lot more comfortable finger room.

Test rode the KTM Duke 690 that shares this engine and that single absolutely roars. It felt like it could pull forever. Very impressive.

in all fairness though, those guys ripping crazy wheelies on their V Twins for the most part have all converted their belt drives to run real chains and have in many cases changed out the cams for some more easy up benefits.

as a life long harley basher I gotta say I have really come full circle and now have a great appreciation for them and love the way todays youth is drifting and wheelieing them

kinda glad we got away from the long stretched out chopper scene that was popular for a few years and now seemingly more back into style the old skinny tire choppers
