Had a baby so to cut back on bills I am selling my 2006 Tacoma DCSB and I just bought a 2004 4Runner limited v8 with 205k miles on it. Looking forward to building it up. Already have a arb air locker that needs to be installed and going to swap over the toytec boss coilovers from the Tacoma. Also ordered some dirt king uniball uca's. Stay tuned for updates!

Test fit the 16" wheels from the Tacoma to make sure they fit. They have 285/75r16 Cooper st maxx tires.

Swapped over the toytech boss coilovers from the Tacoma. Picked up a screaming deal on some icon's 2.5 remote resi for the front and icon piggyback shocks for the rear with icon rear coils, and camburg uniball uca's. Getting the shocks rebuilt and should have them back at the end of the month. For now the toytechs and icon coils will have to do.

Found out today that the icon 2.5 piggy back rear shocks are toast and aren't worth rebuilding. Time to figure out what to get for the rears. Thinking cheap shocks to get me by for now.

The icons front and rear plus the camburg uppers and the icon rear springs were $200... like I said, I got a screaming deal. So yeah, I thought they could be rebuilt. Not the end of the world that they are toast.

And no, there was no attempt at all to clean these up. They were removed off of a Toyota mechanics friends vehicle. Lady told him he could keep them and he posted them up on craigslist.

I can assure you neither of them was cleaned up just the angle of the picture I guess. Just some beat up shocks. I am hoping the fronts are good at this point. It would have been around $700 to get the rears rebuilt.

Your "piece of mind" means nothing at this point. And you did call me an idiot so it means even less after that.

All of the V8's had a 5sp tranny. I believe the 2003-2004 v6 had the 4sp and then 2005 on got the 5sp

Leaking shocks don't necessarily mean they're not worth rebuilding. :notsure:

A leaking shocks that only needs new seals would be significantly cheaper to rebuild. Leaking seals is not the main problem here.

Like I said in an earlier post I found out they weren't worth rebuilding so I am looking into different options. Can you not read?

How are you this stupid? $3000 worth of suspension for $200. Worth the risk everytime. Rears turned out to be bad. Not the end of the world.

Shit, just the UCAs are worth the $200. Disregard the trolls.

Basic bitch 2.0 Icons are pretty cheap, ~$350 for the pair. For on the cheap, the other option would be Billies or OME.
