    I don't have a 2nd gen..so not really important..

    but to mean it seems the Camburg kit would be the best setup. Hardly anyone has it though so idk about that. .

    You don't need to do the cage with there kit you can use it with mt then if you decide to go lt in the rear your already almost there.

    I have heard it is a solid kit, just hear its a pain in the ass as you have to drill through all the bolts and stuff just to bolt it on. If you got time on your hands though, it would be hella easy to install.

    One thing that helped me decided on the rear I want to do was check out a few trucks that had the setup I was considering and talking to the guys that had that setup. Asking about pros and cons. Rock Therapy gave me that opportunity.

    Ya it is a 110 flux welder. If my house had 220 I would get a cheap used 220 to try if I knew someone local to teach me. I rent so I'm not going to pay to get 220 brought into the house. I wish when my friend did my rear I would have asked to be thought

    wiring up your own 220 wouldn't be that hard. Pretty simple really.

    Learning on flux is super hard. If you used gas and even stuck with 120 you'll be amazed at how much better it is.

    120 just doesn't penetrate as well and sometimes just doesn't work as well.

    I go back an forth on whether to get the Camburg sua kit with good bypasses, or go full retard and save up BIG BUCKS and just “daily driver” link it.
    A cage will happen either way, eventually.

    Ive been looking but not many keep spring over and I'm thinking that's what I might want to do in not looking to haul ass I do more slow rock crawling now. I want to build a flat bed and incorporate the bed cage into it and not many have done that. I'm going tundra rear axle (sitting in my garage for install) so mounting shocks outboard shouldn't be a issue with what I've read

    A thing or two...
    It's just as 'complete' as the TC SUA. It's springs, spring perches, hangers, bolts, and u bolts. Camburg doesn't sell a shock tower kit, so go with TC, Archive, or BAMF if you want to keep the shocks under the bed. TC and BAMF will run 12" shocks. Archive will run 14" shocks and have holes to bolt up a brace between the towers.

    I know getting a 220 outlet isn't hard 50 percent of my job includes electrical work. But the wiring on this house is ancient and push style breakers so for me to buy a 240 push style breaker and change stuff around to open that slot in a rented house doesn't seem like it's worth it to me

    This pretty much explains that, but I would go with BAMF for 12 inch shocks or archive for 14. TC will cycle max at 10.5 inches, which is why I went with BAMF for my set up at the time.

    I’d like to do links the first time, just that’d push the rear end out at least to summer 2019, and I really want something more capable this summer for when I move up to San Luis Obisbo in the fall.

    Ashamed I didn't build mine. Downtime and garage space were my issues. Couldn't have the truck down for more than a weekend when I did mine.

    Coulda shoulda done it myself. But parents moved in with me for 6 months while they were having a house built. Was looking like they were gonna lose it and have to stay with me for an undetermined amount of extra time so I went with the prefabbed bedcage. Allowed me to do the dmz sua swap in a weekend vs an extra week of having to fab up the bedcage. Though my shocks taking an unexpected extra 5 weeks to get to me, in the end I coulda built it in that time and then just finalized the mounting positions when they got in.

    But I do have to say, having the dmz sua and bedcage, install went super smooth. Everything designed by the same company to work together...came out great and works awesome.
