    Moog says its a 465lb coil, non progressive. Floor to fender measures 38 3/4", it was 36 3/4" before I started.

    Those two might not be the best comparison though, you didn't go down the rock to the bottom. A better illustration would have been if someone took a video of how @turbodb's front flexes, with the whole hover over the dead spot before gradually making its way down.

    I'm thinking of dropping it to the 0" line. But first I wanna finish my rear. I'm thinking that the rear will end up sitting lower than the front as it sits now. (1.5" shackle on stock replacement leaf springs) In a few months, once those coils settle I'll raise em up to be level with the rear if I need to.

    I rather run the stock air box and keep the desert sand out of my engine then try and get the 2 ponies you might get out of the CAI. But that's just me.

    Yes, there are two different clocksprings. One for cruise control and one for without. The number of pins in the connector is different. I bet a cc clockspring would work in a non cc application but not the other way around.

    I was thinking about buying a K&N sock to try and do some kind of filtering but the way I see it is your going to have either covered in sand either way. I don’t know if I’m going to buy it yet but he said try it out so we’ll see how it goes.

    Put the daystars in the dakars today as well as the aal. Also since we were takinng apart the leafs we did some math since two other trucks in our group have dakars. I think we are all wishing we spent the money on Alcans, but life is a learning process, amd the truck still performs well. I knew my icons in the back were the limiting factor, but also another reason we did the shocks, cause new ones will be purchased tomorrow.     Thank you man! I'm thinking of figuring out a way to make an anti theft ignition kill switch since someone gave me a good deal on another switch to sell with my cruise control stuff and I'll keep the switch in my truck.

    I tried to rent one from autozone and they wanted like 200$ to rent it. I believe I had the right one but gosh dang...

    I know I get it all back but still made me nervous. Trying to double check myself.

    Yeah we just torched the leaf to heat it up a bit and hammered the sucker right out. Shoulda done it last time...passenger side shock is shot, i can compress it by hand. Made it easy to put back on, but its out of nitrogen or some shit, seal is busted somewhere but no oil leak as far as i can notice...i have no clue when I did it. But playing in the mud last week, or in the snow in big bear 3 weeks ago is my guess. I am going to call Icon see if its under warranty, theyre pretty new. I kinda beat em up the last year. Not sure if I will stick w Icon

    they refund it 100% when you return it. They just charge you the cost of the tool in case you don't bring it back.

    Yea I know, still shocked me enough I didn’t get it tonight.
    Oriellys is 120$ so I guess I’ll go get it and the 4WD kit.

    Trying to tackle the steering rack bushings tomorrow night. Should go pretty smooth if shit isn’t rusted...

    How much more travel do your leafs have compared to the Icons if you don't mind me asking. Icon is one of the few that even makes a stock location shock for these trucks so I'm wondering how they stack up against the most common lift leafs. Do they bottom out before you hit the bump stop, do they stop downtravel early?

    Do yourself and a favor and just buy this 21 piece ball joint press and own it outright - I've found myself using it for other things besides pressing ball joints. I've used it for things like driving axle seals.

    Those AutoZone rental kits don't usually include the right size die - I found myself using several adapters to fit the Tacoma UBJ. What a pain in the ass it is to replace those things, seriously.

    I mean why buy an expensive seal driver kit when you can use tools you already have - I did the rear main seal when I did my 4WD swap and I went out to Home Depot and bought a 2" toilet flange, LOL.
