Flattened leaf springs

Tsb packs are no better than what you have. Upgrade your leafs and save yourself some time.

 

Literally.... the TSB packs should come standard with a 2" AAL so they actually do something.

 

Awesome, was just wondering because i currently have a 2inch lift up front and it wont be changing for a little bit. Im not super expo really besides my softopper and maybe 100 extra pounds of gear. Would i still be able to get the dakar pack and not have it look weird? Would i have to order the light duty pack?

Plan is to keep it forever and make it a trail rig, then get a 5.7 tundra as a daily driver and tow rig. t wont ever be a huge expo overland type thing.

Hah, I'd love to but it's not in the cards for this year. Aiming for next year as my first Jambo. Hopefully I'll have new leafs by then

 

Come on out after, we do some trips there and other places. Really you just need skids and sliders. There are plenty of bypasses

I’ll have to plan a trip. For a six+ hour ride from down here that’s a commitment

 

Mine has 3 leads plus an overload and I think 4 clips. But mines a SR5 2.7

3-4 inches of lift over stock is WAY too much for me, what do you know about the Icon leaf pack, not the Icon AAl.

I have the exact same situation as the OP and am looking for a solution without alot of lift and thats why I'm looking at the Icon stack because they advertise it as though you can remove or add a leaf to get the height you want, I assume that might be the same for your packs what do you think?

 

Cool, thanks. I have a topper on my taco and about 200 pounds of random crap I always haul around in the box. Right now the rear is level to slightly lower than the front and I don't know how much height I lost, the front is stock suspension, never been touched. I could easily go up 3 inches in the rear from where I'm at now and be fine but 3 inches up from stock height may be way too much. I'm not looking to "lift" my truck but some is ok to get what I need.

 

Man that’s a pretty pronounced rake. I can imagine it looking pretty close to level loaded down but that’s a bit more than I need right now. Don’t have any lift on and I don’t want to lift unless absolutely necessary. Maybe AAL would be better for now

 

I think i am in the same boat a smany, just want stock height, maybe a hair more, and want it to stay there.

Main reason i quoted your thread is just this weekend i was thinking of starting a thread dedicated to stock suspension heights. You measure from the center of the wheels to the fender directly above it. It would be helpful for many to see where they are currently and if theres any sag

 

Yea, ugg, thats way too high and not for me. What if I took a leaf out like the Icon stack says you can do? Or maybe guys like me are better off with an aal.

 

Unsure about the 2.7 trucks. If you have 4 leafs and the clips are placed evenly you should be alright. TIS shows no TSB's regarding leaf springs or packs and them being weak or anything. Just a TSb about a squeak during flexing of the pack.
